I really do like these trailers. Will be tracking the slide out issue. In another video they mentioned issues with the lithium batteries. The wiring was not appropriate for the type of battery, once they switched out the wiring it resolved the charging issue. I still like these trailers.😁

Me too. Just a little bit of a learning curve. Everything is working fine now.

Can you provide more detail about the wiring issue? I am waiting for my new Micro Minnie FLX and trying to learn as much as I can before it arrives.
@joestravels30272 жыл бұрын
@@terenceharding4792 the wiring issue has been resolved. Winnebago and lithionics said it only affected the first four (or maybe it was six) units produced. The wiring was sized too small per the lithionics specs. The battery itself was also using an older software version.

It is interesting; I placed an order for Micro Minnie 1808FBS about four weeks ago. After the first visit, I revisited the dealership for the payment and paperwork, not the pickup. They told me they changed the camper due to the slide-out problem. Then I agreed to get a different one but the same model. Then I scheduled to pick up. While I was waiting, I got a phone call that they found a problem with the slide-out again! They said it would take one or two weeks. Then I waited almost full two weeks for good news. However, they said that they didn't get approval from Winnebago yet because Winnebago and OEM part vendors are pointing at each other. They said that it could take more than a month. I already spent a lot of money buying camping gear and reservations. Then I discussed with the dealership to solve this problem soon. We agreed to change the model again to FLX 2108FBS. I asked them to check the slide-out, and they said that the side-out works fine. Then I scheduled pick up the FLX for next Friday. It seems like recent models have similar or the same problem (: I hope you get your parts soon, and also, my slide-out works fine for my family trip next week.

Yikes! I hope they don’t take that long with mine. I’ll miss my trip for sure. And I hope yours works well with no issues. Best of luck to you and the fam! Hopefully Winnebago is paying attention and taking notes.

I see You are going to Gibson. I was up there last weekend for a day trip. It's dry.

Oh no! Maybe it’ll fill back up by the time I get there. :). Small world eh?

Hope everything got fixed in a timely manner? We picked up our 2306bhs Sunday and the slide wouldn’t go out -“like yours. They worked on it today and now waiting… so disappointed. We want to go west also and hope trouble doesn’t follow!

They ended up allowing me to go pick up the part, and fixed it within a couple days. So it all worked out, and I got to go on my trip. Thank goodness.

Thanks for the update, Joe. Really curious about what the slide issue is, and what the fix is. I'm a "potential buyer" and there are 4 available on the lots close to me. I learned today of a recall on the welds, or lack of, on the ball coupler. Some were just tack welded, while others had a full-length weld. It only pertains to certain SN #s , but I'd have the dealer check anyway. It seems to me the welder aligned the coupler, and tack welded it in place, but forgot to come back and finish the weld!!

Yeah I saw that too. I don’t think mine has that issue but I’ll definitely check it when I get it back. They’ve been a little cryptic about what parts specifically are needed, but they did tell me the parts would cost me $1500 out of pocket if I wanted to forego the warranty process (i asked them if I could pay for the parts myself and expedite the whole process, rather than wait on Winnebago to approve the warranty).

@@joestravels3027 Something doesn’t sound right to me the slides are not that complicated just a couple of motors in a track and a controller
@joestravels30272 жыл бұрын
@@jamespavlinik6481 right? Supposedly some of the parts are custom made. I dunno. I’d remove the darn slide and make the wall solid before I pay that much. Winnebago really should offer a similarly sized camper (with full bath like these) but without a slide. For a few thousand less, I’d buy it! Fewer moving parts to break.
