The F kelpie sounds just wonderful, it’s a shame they only seem to be available as pro models now.

Surely not a pinless thumb though? It uses a different type of spring to a normal thumb key, but no thumb keys are ‘pinned’?
@ThomasMulliganFlute10 күн бұрын
He means Broegger thumb I imagine
@justflutes10 күн бұрын
Yes indeed! The mechanism as a whole is pinless; the thumb key uses a needle spring as opposed to the usual flat spring while the post position is different. This reduces wear and reduces hands fatigue.

Would it be possible to hear a demo of the YPC32 being played with its original head, then with a Mancke head? Many thanks!
@zhengzhouzhang947617 күн бұрын
Such a genius design. If the responsiveness is the same as a straight head joint, that would be awesome.

Is the Haynes custom silver made of actual coins or is it just an alloy that’s made of 90% silver?

I like this approach, you don't reveal which is open and this is wise decision. Musician must know by heart what sound he is chasing, and choice needs to be done only with feeling, not with advice from other musicians.

Hannah, please work on your breathing. We want to hear music, not you gulping for air. If I can hear you taking a breath, you are not breathing correctly. Your tone, however, is quite good.
@joejoejoe5328 күн бұрын
That has more to do with a close microphone pickup then anything to do with her breathing. You wouldn’t hear those gulps in a concert hall.
@alanmaslac20658 күн бұрын
Perhaps, but permit me to doubt. If I'm wrong, she can simply ignore the comment.

What flute are you using, I can't pick the logo on that flute. it does not look like the fliphead logo (plus that's an Open Hole Flute) so not the Fliphead FL1-SE ?? but as a whistle player, guessing I'd want to try the smaller flow head ??
@FiddlingwithmyWhistleАй бұрын
That looks cool. I own a lot of instruments... but not a flute :( what's this Fliphead Flute Bundle FL1-SE ??
