Just a tiny note, the "I" in Hozier isn't pronounced. It's pronounced more like Ho-zeer 😊 He is beyond incredible. I can't recommend all of his work enough!

I get the copyright things, but you guys are cutting waaaaaaaaaaay to much. There is no need at all to do as many cut scenes as you are doing.

Yeah, it's a lot of cuts. I'm not sure when we'll be coming back with new content, but hopefully it can be less chaotic.

When I was listening to the song call your mom on this reaction, I realized what he was saying. I HAD NO CLUE THAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT THAT. from my understanding, the girl is going to commit suic*de. I broke down into tears as im listening, then the line "dont wanna drive another mile without knowin' your breathin. So wont you stay with me? " I was sobbing at this point

The male response to Mad Women… this song isn’t about a romantic relationship it’s about misogyny in our society and how women are expected to just take it and not respond.

I appreciate the fact that you may know some of the lore behind what the songs could be about, but that's not what you were listening for. It kind of made your reactions so much more pure and satisfying. I have watched so many reactions where people got so tied up in trying to figure out what relationship Robin was referring to that they just missed the whole song and were underwhelmed. I also love to watch reactions between parents and their Swiftie kids because you get a double perspective of different life experiences and tastes of music coming together and just appreciating that regardless of who the artist is, the lyrics, music, production, and being open can lead to experiences you would otherwise miss if you focus on who. Great reaction ❤

I really like The View Between Villages (Extended)… the talking parts are great and the lengthened build really put it above the original version for me

I think part of the thematic nature of it is also the idea of not being able to escape home mentally even when you leave (he lived in nashville and other places and came back during covid during his parents’ divorce)

I also look at The View Between Villages from the point of view of how you feel when returning home too

Compare the fame of Kim and Taylor. What can Kim do? Taylor can now come back against Kim ten times. Kim is the nasty one, not Taylor.
@andrewjenkinson70523 ай бұрын
I disagree. "I'm gonna get you back" is not serious. You are being far too serious and reading into the song things which do not exist. What line(s) did you think were serious, and why? - edit: i still like your resctions😊

Taylor LOVES what she does. Every part of it. Writing, singing, performing, planning, creating, producing. If she did not she simply would not do it (She can afford others to do them).
@andrewjenkinson70523 ай бұрын
Taylor is supreme at telling STORIES. They are not documentaries. They may have a small element from her personal life but mainly they are FICTION. Unless she wrote a hundred songs BETWEEN relationships most were written during her relationships. Do you really think she would have stayed in relationships where what she describes was ongoing?

The issue is the music quality is so bloody high from Olivia that any number of songs that she's given us is better than what other artists have given us. If Olivia wouldn't be so prolific as a writer, you'd have an easier go at this classification nonsense! Let your arguing recommence!

It’s wild because while you were listening to jealousy, jealousy I was comparing my lack of a relationship with my dad and how fascinating it is to see other people having great conversations with their kids and wish I had that and then you guys talk about not comparing ourselves lol you’re so right. And yet I’m like dang, how I wish I had that.
@MusicDadReacts4 ай бұрын
A good relationship with dad is something I wish for everyone. I'm sorry you don't have that. I didn't have it, so I feel you. As a dad I'm trying my best, but without it being modeled to me when I was young, I take a lot of input from others to help improve. I guess when we're faced with jealousy, we can choose to either get mad about it or determine that we are going to do what it takes to get there. In relationships, even choosing the better path can be heartbreaking when one person is willing to do the hard work, but the other person is not interested. I hope you and your dad can get to a place where you both want to make it work.

I have to say, I love dad’s interpretation. And, for the record, the music is art and there is no “right” interpretation. And you always make really interesting points that are different from the super swifties. Also, you have lived longer and have more life perspective to bring into your interpretations.

theyre almost all about matt, they met at first met in the mid 2000s she and his band are produced by jack, so when she and joe broke up she had jack hook them up, she had strong feelings about every guy shes with hes a junkie and he left her. I think Daddy I love him is maybe about any'all of her boyfriends definitely to her fans she said her dad loves him, I agree with dad. Out of the slammer is about Joe and Matt

As posted below, this song is about something called "Reactive Jealousy". Maybe a reach, but I wonder if she sounded out her dad (a therapist) about possible song ideas, b/c this one is so different for her. I watched another one of these videos where a husband and wife were watching, and the husband was all confused, and once they hit the hook, the wife was like "Ooohhhhh, okay...", and the husband still had no idea :-)

Also, re: the smallest man- I may be misunderstanding the clues that were dropped since I'm not the most esoteric swiftie out there... But it sounds like he kept up some kind of flirty communication with her during her relationship with Joe, not really enough to be bad, but enough for her to start thinking of it as an exit option when things started to really go bad. If he actually was mentioning wedding rings and children to a woman he had just begun having a rather intense love affair with... And then it sounds like after a short time (Maybe a fortnight-ish?) he ghosted her. And you tried to buy pills off a friend- So he's going back to drugs and blowing her off- At the beginning of one of the biggest stadium arena tours ever planned... Yeah I think he deserved that song and more. That was a real dick move. I'll bet it hurt more losing the dream of him than losing the actual person... TS specifically, talks about imagining this person ahead of the time she's seeing him.. she probably really missed the person that she had dreamed up in her head and been really disappointed to have found he was nowhere near that person.
@clarem87845 ай бұрын
What I like about "Down bad"- to me it feels like, she knows that the emotions she's feeling from the short relationship with Matty Healey are too strong... Very much like when you're a teenager and you have very short, intense relationships. So even though she has real emotions about it, She's making fun of herself for being "down bad" At the gym, full of teenage petulants even though she's in her thirties. And that song really made me think, there's so many emotions that we identify with certain ages but aren't really unique to a certain age. I also like that she's able to make fun of herself even while she's in pain.
