@ just got mine. This thing is incredible! Best crossbar lock I’ve ever used by far. Any tips on getting the pocket clip screw out? Got one side out and can’t seem to get the other

Yea that looks really nice. If I hadnt gotten the one in white aluminium already I would have got that for sure, its also a tiny bit lighter as well. Great choice to pick up, enjoy your knife when it arrives 👍

I feel the same way about Benchmade/Spyderco. Not really a fan of Benchmade outside of a couple of models, but I definitely love the Spyderco DNA.

Yep completely agree, this has been exacerbated with what Benchmade have been up to for the last year or two (That 600 dollar bailout for example/the narrows and so on). Benchmade does definitely appeal to newer knife enthusiasts though, until they eventually realise why everyone likes Spyderco so much

Definitely not throwing shade, your property. Speaking on the Malibu issue, have you considered laying the edge back to 15°?

Hey, yea no worries at all. I did take the edge down to a very thin angle before, but its just the drag caused by the thick spine/swedge that makes it a pain to really make it cut through things. Since filming this video ive removed a lot more from the back portion. Quite happy with it so far and once its all done and cleaned up it should be looking and performing a lot nicer. Still got a ways to go because im doing it all by hand but ill bring the final product up once I think its ready

I have a few Benchmades but between them kinda dropping the ball with interesting designs after the success of the Bugout and the insanity of their pricing, I've moved on to other things. Picked up a Mordax and a Malibu and those knives make everything Benchmade is doing seem silly.

Yea dropping the ball certainly sounds about right. But I mean they must be doing something right in terms of marketing because they are continuing to just do what they do But anyways since the Bugout, which is really still a golden standard by which a lot of other knives are compared to, since its release in 2017 and the price hikes, which are stupid even by modern knife standards, I dont see anything of interest coming from them in the future. Lets see if they can turn things around, but not feeling super confident about that
