The second house is a win for me. I like it. It looks great but the first house not a fan of a glass staircase doesn’t seem small child friendly no closets. That’s a no for me.

House #1: Sleek design, but probably not for a family with kids due to the glass features on the upper and lower staircases. That's a lot of Windex that'll be used and possible accidents due to child play. Kitchen is very modern, like the appliances, but the black on black really darkens that space. Negotiate for a garage, or knock down the price. Love the pocket doors, but need more refined setup for clothing and storage on 2nd floor.

I like both. However, I'm not crazy about that glass staircase. Whoever buys property number 1, decorating should think bold colors to go with all of that 'black'. Love the second home. Love everything about it.

The outside of the home was beautiful. Unfortunately, all the original windows were taken out. Oh, what's your probably leaded and stained glass? As you go inside, it gets even worse. Looks like a modern apartment, not what a Chicago. Historical bungalow should look like the staircase is hideous. Which is coming down into what the dining room used to be all the original woodwork, and trim is gone. This is horrible.Absolutely.Horrible from a contractor with a degree in architecture and design. People should not be allowed to do this to these types of homes. I know the realtor is trying his best to speak nice of this property, but it's really a piece of garbage now and worthless, hopefully, he does some study in research. I'm the Chicago bungalow and the history and all the architectural details. Maybe he will be feel differently. I think he gives these tours.This looks like a cheap apartment inside

1st house wasted space, horrible kitchen cabinet color, missing garage, no rail going to 2nd floor, no closet on 2nd floor, $355k max. 2nd house updated correctly worth $399k.

I choose house #2. House 1 loses me on the kitchen. #2 kitchen, hate the backsplash. Now the price, house 1- could not believe the low price. Low by NY standards anyway. In NY, that house, even in a not so great location, would be over a million. #2, unbelievable that you get all of that for under 500K.

I thought you were gonna say 600 but the only thing I would change is put railing on the upstairs going down just in case you have a older individual because it seems like it’s a home for younger people and for the upstairs bedrooms I was just bring in some kind of closet space or go to a Rehab store and pick up maybe a closet unit and rehab may be painted black but I think that’s a nice space I see in the backyard. You might have to put a fence up you know for privacy in case you get a dog but I think it’s a nice property is real neat😊 I like the second home, but I noticed that most of the homes you have presented they don’t have crown molding on the ceiling you know along the ceiling between the wall and the ceiling I noticed in I’m from Baton Rouge we have a check out the homes that have the crown molding. I love that if I’m gonna spend all that money on the house, I think it should have an extra crown molding at the top of the wall where the ceiling is and I think that one that you had the kitchen if they had some black crown molding, maybe that would’ve made a difference I don’t know because that was a lot of black. I liked it. It was different but you know I don’t know, but I love them. You have good homes. They’re all clean and neat and they’re all in the high range area like 3000 300,000 and up and that’s a lot of money. I don’t know I personally I can’t afford that, but they’re beautiful and I hope you keep coming back with content so maybe one day I’ll be able to get a home like that.😊

I like the wooden trim no matter what you want that because you might wanna put some flowers up and you don’t wanna put anything wet on that and what if you wanna put some blinds up you know those look like those paper shades so I think I would like the trimand if I’m gonna pay a good amount of money for that, I want a regular window trim on my windows😊

Bungalow layouts are so odd to me… bedrooms and bathrooms off the living/dining space? Was the upper level on the first home supposed to be a primary suite?

The first one they had it going on untill you reach the kitchen kitchens sells homes no one want no black kitchen they really missed the mark.

House number 2 is a nicer, more practical renovate that would appeal to more people. The first house, the renovate was too specific to someone's particular taste.

How can rooms with no closets be considered a bedroom in the first home? Also in the first home, they went all out for a modern look but no master bedroom with ensuite? Lastly, in the first house, I think the small room with the glass door next to the kitchen is a wine cellar, not a pantry.

The windows need that trim imo. Love both of the homes! The lack of closets in home #1 can be alleviated by using clothing wardrobes. Everything is very nicely appointed and laid out in both homes. Winners!

A lot of backyard space, but I wonder why they chose black counter tops for the kitchen 🤔 I like the second home, the little nook in the master bedroom would be for my fur babies 😊

Idk who wants a home with no closers. Why didn't they put in closets in the bedrooms upstairs when they renovated the home, makes no sense. Then a buyer has to spend more money to have closets installed, how weird. I wouldn't buy that home at that price because of the no closet situation and they should've put white quartz countertops over the black cabinets.

I'm not a fan of either home, first home deal breaker no closets upstairs over renovated for the area. The second home living room is small and awkward layout the kitchen is too dark and over renovated.

Lots of wasted space. Countertops are too dark in the kitchen, those are not bedrooms upstairs no closets.
@derricklangford472514 сағат бұрын
That's because originally the second floor space was more than likely an attic.
@dorcasjohnson98912 сағат бұрын
@@derricklangford4725 but they still have to have closets to be considered a bedroom. So you can't sell the house as a five bedroom house. That's probably why the house is so cheap for all the work that they have done on it.
In Los Angeles, will be moving back to Chicago in September 2025. would loved to be set up by then. Is that home in Pill Hill area sold?
