I’m making the chili recipe tonight and I’m wondering if I will have issues with my gut. I’ve been 100% raw for the last 3 months now. I’m trying so hard to get rid of pain & inflammation, it’s a catch 22. I have chronic back pain & fibromyalgia I had 3 surgeries, last year a fusion that didn’t take. I try to keep things as simple as I can and eating raw takes a lot of time & commitment unless you just stick to juice, smoothies and salads everyday, and I’m bored with that! It’s like I want to heal but I’m in too much pain to do the work. Sorry to go off the subject I’m just so frustrated. I want to go back to just eating vegan again, but will I heal this way?

I’m so sorry about Bo. 💔 Our fur babies are our family. We adopted a senior retired racing greyhound in 2017, and she was wonderful.(She crossed the 🌈 bridge a couple of years ago.) We now have 3 more greyhounds. 🫣 They are super easy going, loving, snuggly, and have been great with our kiddos. One of my favorite parts is that they came to us after the puppy stage. We adopted our youngest at 1.5 yo, and she was still very puppy-like, but had outgrown the chewing, peeing, and nipping stage. ☺️ The greyhounds are handled so much that they are used to being touched. They allow us to wipe their feet, brush teeth, dremel nails, etc with no complaints. When looking to adopt, my list included: good with kids, not stinky, and minimal shedding. They have lived up to the expectations!

Wild oregano caps. It works best when you just start to feel the fist signs of one coming on. Read the back of the bottle but most of them are 3 times a day. Good luck

My very favorite coffee substitute is teechini . I’ve always had a struggle giving up coffee. I like oat creamer with a pumpkin or gingerbread flavor. So I put that in my teechini and it’s nice and dark like coffee too.

I pre ordered your book and can’t wait to get my copy 🙂So at the moment I just had my 5th spinal fusion all from a fall on black ice a few years ago. Weight is not an issue but I am definitely having major issues being active right now!! Feeling good and being healthy is a priority. I have issues with iron and B12. I’m very committed to living a healthy lifestyle and know your book is just what I need 🙂

If Natasha looks back through the comments, Dandy Blend is a caffeine-free coffee replacement that tastes like coffee ( it’s also organic). There are terrible chemicals used in decaffeinating coffee, definitely worth avoiding. 😊☕️ You could mix half coffee and half Dandy Blend and taper off the coffee if you’re worried about caffeine withdrawal. Taking a herbal adrenal blend supplement will also help combat any withdrawal symptoms.

Coffee replacement - I drink instant chicory root once a day max. I heat almond milk in a pan until it froths, pour into a cup, add two teaspoons of the powder and then add a squeeze of date syrup. This is my 'coffee'. You can make with any plant or other milk, and can omit or use alternative sweetener eg agave, honey etc. Or you can make with just hot water black or add any milk. You can also use dried non processed cicory root - place in milk as above or hot water as you would making a herbal drink.

Coffee actually has health benefits so you should not feel like you have to quit coffee if it’s something you like. I recommend listening to Dr. William Li on coffees benefits

Although I've lived in Florida since 1991, I grew up in Lincoln and still visit often, to see my childhood best friend. Lincoln is such a WONDERFUL place to live! The people are so kind, genuine, down-to-earth and just plain NICE. Plus it's not as crowded there as it is here -- Melbourne has easily doubled in population over the past 30 years and the traffic is outrageous. Not to mention the property taxes and homeowners insurance skyrocketing for us Floridians. I totally understand wanting to live in a tropical climate -- heck, that's why I'm here in Florida too. But I also totally understand the pull to be surrounded by your family in Nebraska. That's a really tough decision! I know you both with pray about it, and listen to your intuition! Good luck in whatever your next step may be.

I for one do not feel well when I drink coffee... Love the taste, but do not love the outcome from Coffee ESPECIALLY AT AGE 66 W CAFFEINE INDUCED TACHYCARDIA. But I always feel very acidic after drinking Coffee. Natural coffee substitutes sometimes are ok... Such a chicory root & other NON STIMULATING Drinks... CAFFEINE reacts in the body like a DRUG...
