No, the movement the Umpie is doing with his hands means he is asking for a review by the third umpire who will do an instant replay and confirm if the player was out. No you don't have to run however there could be a number of reasons why he wanted to.

As an Aussie I didn’t know that Newfoundlers fought alongside the ANZACS an Gallipoli.. thank you for enlightening me. May just be another piece in the puzzle as to why Aussies, Kiwis and Canadians are so similar

Two words… go crows. The most penalised club in the culture, even the year their coach was murdered, poached players keep getting the club penalised and moving for a premiership when it’s a solid club that could rock the game from a smaller city. but yeah draughs are the icing on the peniltys they deal with from former… not current players. As a port fan I’ll openly admit crows get screwed and fight harder than most.

Christmas lunch depends on where you live, im in Victoria and we always have a traditional hot lunch, with roast beef, lamb, chicken and pork with all the veggie. Even if its extremely hot we still have this. Egg nog is available here,my son loves it, but its not really something many people would buy or make.

Here in Turkey, when children reach 12-13 years old, they start teaching history in schools. First they teach the War of Salvation (1922)…How we kicked the Greeks out of Anatolia… We defeated the occupying British in Gallipoli… We kicked out the French from eastern Anatolia… But I was 18 when I learned that we were fighting with the Anzacs at Gallipoli…I didn't understand why at the time…why they didn’t teach us about that.. I am now 41 years old and I understand that the Turks don’t accept the Anzac youth as our enemies… The Gallipoli war lasted 8 months… one month at sea with the British and French…7 months on land with the Anzacs…But a month-long naval war is talked about a lot here… There is no victory to speak of in the 7-month land-war…Just the pain of tens of thousands of young people dying… Let me give an example to explain the pain of this war for Turks.. “ Istanbul University didn’t graduate any male students between 1915-1917…Because they all died in Gallipoli.. None of them could come back to the university…

A few years ago I did a tour of the Cu Chi tunnels where the Vietcong laid down all sorts of torture traps. It was horrifying. What those young men endured, only to come home and be treated like pariahs…it’s no wonder the suicide rate was so high. In tears watching this

Christmas in the winter would be strange to me. It is time for being outdoors with family and longer days to enjoy relaxing and celebrating. We have carols by candlelight, decorations, lights, hot midday turkey and pudding for dessert or sometimes salads and pavlova instead. Many people go to the pool or beach. It's the best time of the year.

He is our story teller and is avocate, humanitarian and downright decent man. He will reach into your soul and bring out emotions that you never thought were possible.

As an Aussie pilot - they're legends. Super selective with pilots even more so than Qantas, it's not an organisation you join to build time to run off to the airlines, they want people who want to fly RFDS for life and have a ton of bush time. Op expenditure is from the government, capital expenditure is from donations. The RAAF also assist with fuel, maintenance and basing when required.

Racecam was invented by channel 7 to enhance coverage of Bathurst, similar to satellite in that they bounce the signal off a helicopter to enable the pictures from inside the car and even interviews with the driver are in real time, not delayed coverage

As you are a Newfoundlander, you will doubtless know the horrific toll the Newfoundland Regiment paid on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. I have been to the place in France and seen the Caribou memorial statue, and it was as moving as any of the countless cemeteries there. Just goes to show how many men from all over the world volunteered in that war.

I have seen some of these back then or recently because of the pandemic, currently watching Skippy both the original & revived series. Only seen clips of Aunty Jack, Wombat. I have been Humphrey Bear back then, Lockie Leonard i have seen all of it and it was pretty fun. Mirror Mirror at least S1 the story is pretty good, Season 2 however honestly was a bit of a step down by comparison. My Place is one of my favs from the late 2000s, i think it's one of the few good AUS book to TV adaptations. Nowhere Boys is also a popular one i liked about 4 boys accidently stuck in a parallel universe & it's just S1, not going to go over the later seasons & the movie because you have to watch it for yourself. Ocean Girl is a gem of a show made by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions the same team that would work on H2O: Just Add Water & many others after it. Round the Twist is one of my childhood favs back then especially if you read the source material that it was based on. Wiggles yeah i used to listen some of their older songs as a kid, I never did watch The Day My Butt Went Psycho or read the books, i kind of just ignored it since. The Girl From Tomorrow is pretty good too, i really like sci-fi in general. The PM's Daughter being one of the more recent ABC TV shows imo is just alright, idk if it's going to be renewed after the S2 finale that was a bit out there.

Kevin, is that cricket you are talking about? Also, are you talking about a fielder throwing the ball at the stumps (wicket) for a run-out attempt or are you talking about how a slow bowler applies spin when bowling the balll to deceive the batter and make them miss the ball entirely or to make the batter mis-hit the ball and get themselves out or maybe just prevent the batter from getting a run? A fielder aiming at the stumps will usually either do a fast (but not so accurate) baseball-type throw as you described or will take just a moment longer and fire in an over-arm throw with their arm vertical for accuracy.

Mt. Panorama is a circuit pretending to be public roads. The elevation change is ~175m / 575 ft. compared to Laguna Seca at ~55m / 180 ft. (I figure you're familiar with the Corkscrew). Sequential gearboxes w/ clutched downshifts. Current Gen3 cars have ~600HP with a 7500RPM limiter, weight is ~1400kg. Top speed is ~300kph (185mph) with a 0-100kph (62mph) of 3.4sec. They have no driver aids such as ABS, TC or ESC. Cheers mate 🤘
