The other meat looked really good when it was cut already,think its Burgunderbraten.The fleischkäse gets a crust when laying for a while,some people like the endpieces like when their crusty

The Leberkäse Slice was very thin. In my region - the north end of NRW we found a grocery store where you can get a Slice as thick as a thumb . And the price is unbelievable => 1€

Roast Burgundy(Burgunderbraten) is a method of preparing roast beef (and occasionally also roasting other animals). Love Leberkäse. Not sure if it is in the grouping of meatloaf or sausage. It's kind of in-between. The meat is processed close to hot dogs, getting ground real fine. But some are available that have a course ground. You can make it at home. A food processor will help. There are many recipes online. The ingredients should be available in most countries.

@@marlies7444 yep! It,s possible to make fleischkäse at home. Don,t forget to put ice to the unprocessed filling. Otherwise the blade gets hot and cooks the filling befor it,s smooth enough. Butchers do that as well.

Burgunderbraten (Burgundy roast) takes its name from the Burgundy red wine in which the meat (usually beef, but pork e.g. as baked ham I guess also works) is marinated together with spices, before being braised with other ingredients such as onions, garlic, and soup vegetables.

Burgungerbraten, thats a style of pork roast. Borginia is a region of france. Maybe wine from that region is included somehow.

You said that the Leberkäse tasted a little different. Perhaps you bought the Leberkäse from a horse butcher. Horse Leberkäse is very popular in southern Germany. And another piece of information...In "Leber-Käse=Liver-Chees, is neither liver nor cheese". I'm glad if I could help you.

"Leberkäse" is actually a sausage and got its name because of its shape as a "cheese". Try eating "Leberkäse" with "Weißkrautsalat", you'll be surprised how delicious it is.
