its basically just the timing of the extended twin operating for 2 engine aircraft (ETOPs) no time to adapt one all those delivery dates were agreed

why did Klm choose Airbus instead of boeing? Answer: People usually dont want to die

The -10 and A350 are not a comparison. Two completely different category's of jets. The only reason they're compared is because they're both composite airframes. Compare the 777 and the A350 is a fair comparison.

If North America starts drilling for oil again and producing domestically-sourced petroleum products in abundance, including aviation fuel, the cost per gallon will plummet and the A380 will again become formidable as a competitor of large, two-engine design commercial passenger aircraft. IMHO.

I’ve flown on a few budget carriers from home in Europe and Wizz is absolutely the best. Only there routes are a big different in comparison with the other big players in the game. Only look at the east of Europe. My parents come from Romania and every time we visit family, we need to fly Wizz. Cities there are so unknown that you never heard of it, Wizz fly to it. Plus they are cheap and so they job well. Yes, no complementary service, not as clean as on Lufthansa or any other big airline, but better as Ryanair. So for this 15$ I’ll fly Wizz.

0:47 No they shouldn't. There's already the a350 freighter to manage, No need to waste resources and energy on yet another project which will ultimately be a short-term solution, cz new regulations would prolly require them to stop production in less than a decade. They should instead keep focused on making the next-gen single-asle aircraft, the A350neo and lastly the successor to the a330. And THIS is the airframe they should use to build a freighter version, not a 30 year old airframe.

airbus make a new real plane already instead of making freight or neo versions of already existing planes

Surely British Airways use aviation safety experts that would flag these planes as dangerous to fly if this were true don’t they? If they haven’t that’s very hard to believe and extremely worrying.

BS. DO THE VIGOROUS INSPECTION LIKE THEY REQUIRED.

Two very important issues, firstly, as freight becomes more important revenue stream than passengers, Airbus should have pushed the freighter version into production and allowed the market to determine whether it was economically viable, which was not considered important and secondly the A380 suffered from the four engine problem (as does the Boeing 747). Where previously aircraft flying over large bodies of water were considered to need more that two engines in case one failed, when that regulation was dropped and two engines became the norm, economically the Airbus A380's fate was sealed!

I flew southwest for the first time recently and they’re a great airline that delivers on its promises. I hope they emerge from this. Boeing should give them a 40-50% discount on the -MAX series jets over the next decade

Boeings aren't safe. The simple fact that they are even Scrimping on paint now should be enough warning to everyone not to get on any of their planes. The max is a death trap and the faa are letting it fly which is ridiculous. I dread to think how many more accidents that plane will have

We need to rethink the aircraft industry. Have small, medium, large, and huge aircraft available in response to changes in consumer demand. Aircraft don't need to fly 100% of the time, that's why we have boneyards. *We need to standardize flight controls like we did with cars* so it's relatively easy for a pilot to go from a 737 to an a380 - a month of training not multiple years.
@thomasgade226Күн бұрын
This video ignores the real wing issue : the wing is too short for the aircraft, in order to fit inside the 80m airport box. An aerodynamically optimal wingspan would be around 90m , reducing drag and hence fuel cost. Instead, the increased fuel burn requires a full plane to compete with the B777 on seat mile cost. The 4 engines also increase fuel burn. At the time, it was simply not possible to build a 2-engine double decker with optimized 80m wingspan. Perhaps with 4m engines ...

With their announced plans to retire all in NG’s by 2031, I think that will be impossible until the MAX 7 is certified. They could retire all their -800s for the MAX 8s, but is a waiting game until the 7 is released.
@sandy_t5210Күн бұрын
Sorry but the content of this video is simply not true. To say, if an airplane crashes due to maintenance/pilot mistake, it seems like it’s not Boeing fault. However, in reality, if Boeing doesn’t design its cabin to be this small and operation/maintenance to be this difficult, prolly it wouldn’t happen on a Boeing jet. Small design issues can be the potential cause of big disasters.

They always tried to be a low cost airline but tried to act like a big cost airline sticking with one type of aircraft is fine but the 737 ng and max was designed for South West with little inputs from other airline's they took over so many other airlines in the last 40 year's maybe they should have tried running 2 different type of aircraft it works for the big boys nut if you want to remain in the type of airline like Ryan Air fine but a least Ryan Air knows how to get it done

I honestly think that Lufthansa wants to keep the 747 cuz thats what makes them unique and since its only them, everyone will want to fly with them

That's a really strange regulation. I once saw a video relating to London City Airport and a local resident commented E175 was much noisier than A220. I think E2 is a lot quieter than E175/E195, so it's really a bad news for the locals.
