Light colored wood stains when I sand them too. I use 0000 steel wool. Cleans it right up.

Great video brother! Please allow me to make a suggestion if that’s ok with you? I have to very old CaseXX knives. Both of them have a missing chip of bone. One is a Red Bone and the other is a Green Bone. What would you do with these knives. Leave them with the chip missing or fix the missing chip somehow? Maybe, you might want to make a video on it? Great video. Appreciate the tips for fabing a shield. I have a bear n son mini trapper that lost its shield. I emailed their customer service and sent some pics. A few bucks and they mailed out a new shield. I was thinking about using a .22cal cartridge casing if they couldn’t help me. Cool video with very useful tips.. Thanks 👍

@@KernArms I did that on a Bear and Son Damascus-steel Trapper that I gave my Dad for Christmas a few years ago, except it was either a .25 cal or a .380. I cannot recall which, but those are the only sizes of pistol ammo that I keep. I like the look!

@@GregWilmoth First, I would check with Case to see if they would replace the shield under warranty caseknives.com/pages/warranty-repair If they will not, then you just have to get one off of a parts knife, or purchase one off of eBay.

Moore maker was made by Bear & Son ever since their November sale the market has been flooded with them.

I have an electricians knife from a company that doesn't exist from the town that my grandpa used to live in when he was alive. We also used to have a gravity box that was built in that town also.

As an electrician of 38 years I have owned and used all of those . They are Romex knives for removing outer sheathing from Romex wire. The edge retention on those knives were terrible. A razor knife is more proficient at removing insulation from wire. All of my knives except for one ended up in the landfill after retiring.

Thanks for the video. Interesting to to see you work on folding knives, they have always been a puzzle for me. Seeing that blade spinning on the drill bit did make me nervous though.

@@richardhutchinson4016 me too! If you notice, I was no longer holding the blade but just kept pressure on it with one finger and kept the drill speed slow. As soon as that blade moved, so did I!
