I think all the lead singers sing the songs written for themselves better, with this being the one exception. Tarja is absolutely fantastic, but Floor just grabs thing song by the horns and takes it to another level.

Anette's voice is perfectly theatrical for this song. Having more "proper" singers like Tarja or Floor performing a song like this just doesn't work right - of course Tarja hasn't sung this song, but Floor has, and she just doesn't get in character as well as Anette does. It is proof that you do need the right voice for the right song - and sometimes the best TRAINED singer will still sound out of place if they sing a song written for a different voice type altogether. Justin Bieber would sound terrible singing a Pavarotti song, and Pavarotti would sound terrible singing a Justin Bieber song. This song **IS** Anette's. Just because Floor is a better singer overall doesn't mean that someone who isn't her is terrible.

probably should use caution critiquing a student. Luckily this was many years ago... but still, other students will see and may get discouraged secondhand.

A critique from someone who clearly knows what he is talking about and can articulate what it is that makes Tina a truly great guitar player is so much more instructive than the dozens of other “reactors” on KZbin that do little more than swoon over her. Thank you, Sergei!

You did not watch to the end. It's about evolution. 'The greatest show on earth' is actually a book by Richard Dawkins and that's also why you hear his voice speaking. He speaks in the end again and basically explains.

7 Nights to the Wolfes,

Being a computer guy, but loving music and talent. I so respect your comments and honesty in a review. I'm a lousy Piano and Accordion player, but a good slow detailed computer programmer. I respect people with guitar talents so highly, it truly is an art-form of beauty. Watching a beautiful lady play so well is incredible to watch.
