Good , no one tells about to take out the free play from the clutch down near the engine and you took it out by just pulling by hands and tightened the two nuts , thats simple and for the lever play go upstairs and loose or tighten he nut there , the mechanics just mixing them both and called clutch adjustment which is wrong then the bike don't change gears., Thanks after watching your this video when I did what you showed in your video now my bike changes gears smoothly.

@MotoMedicАй бұрын
The older they are the harder they are to find parts for. But there are a lot of them around and you can still manage to find them. It's really a classic bike. The 2003-2004 is such an iconic sport bike. If you can find the 599cc version (ZX-6RR) you've found a rare gem.

I did the same with a sawzall with a short blade, which avoided removing the entire exhaust. Sound is amazing! My LV Corsa wouldn’t fit correctly as with the breadbox (mid pipe not long enough) so I just threw a short exhaust pipe on the end. The LV was mounted high anyway which felt like it was directly behind my ears. So glad the end is lower now. Good luck! You won’t regret it!

I brought the triumph speed 400 and have adjusted the free play according to my comfort and when I shift from the 1st to 2nd and also from 2nd to 3rd gear and exactly at the moment when I am half past releasing my clutch I feel a jerk.This happens only in traffic and not while riding normally at the same time I don’t feel a jerk at the exact moment when I pop into a new gear.Does this have to do with the too much free play or because of too much power of the bike while in traffic speed
@MotoMedic2 ай бұрын
@@salau35 a lot of the time when that happens it's just the rider getting used to a new bike. I am willing to bet you will find the sweet spot the more you ride. Keep it mind sport bikes, especially small displacement engines, are happier at higher RPMs and can get a little clunky at slow speeds and low RPMs

Thank you for your reply. I rode the bike, and when I reduced speed and slowed down in the 1st gear, if you were stopping..it made a popping sound. It sounded cool, but does your bike do the same? Also, I noticed some heat from the engine. I got my mi-pipe from ebay for around $80. My other question is that when installing the header back to the engine, the four circular round clams have different grooves from top to bottom. There is no video which indicates which side is up or down. Do you know which side is up?
@MotoMedic3 ай бұрын
@@infojn-um8jm popping is normal when you remove the bread box. You can install block off plates to take the popping away, but you'll need a jumper for the module that controls the PAIR valve (the thing you'll remove). Mine doesn't pop anymore as I've installed the block offs. Those clamps are fine either way. You may want to change the exhaust gaskets though if you've had a decent number of miles before doing the delete. I didn't change mine since it had so few miles. So far no issues. Yours might work out thr same just be aware.

Hi, I delete the bread box today. Sounds great with stock exhaust. I noticed the engine takes longer to cool down and maybe it's my connection but I can feel little air coming out of joint where the mid pipe links. Do you have any suggestion?
@MotoMedic3 ай бұрын
Depending on the mid pipe you bought it really doesn't have a gasket so you just have to make sure the clamp is tight and the pipe is a straight in the clamp as possible. I don't think the bike would actually take longer to cool since there's less there to hold onto heat when removing the bread-box. Weird.
