I like how she gave clear instructions and assisted the patient/ client. However, I think she could have been more attentive to her covering to ensure that the correct area was shielded from radiation. You can see the client struggling with it at first she drops it all together and then she kind of remembers that she has it and tries to place it where it needs to go. She winds up putting it mostly on her thighs and I'm sure it's not meant to protect the thighs.

You did this very smoothly, the only thing I noticed that we do differently is use a landscape image receptor for PA chest

I love your videos sorry can you please answer you performed LPO and RPO obliques For LPO - we see right interaverterbal foramen ? Correct ? For RPO - we see Left interaverterbral foramen What you mean by EAM in video ?
@xrayimaginglady2586
@xrayimaginglady2586 3 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you! EAM stands for External auditory meatus. You are correct on Posterior obliques? we visualize the upside intervertebral foramen. So LPO visualizes Right foramen.

Yes, I am a radiology student. You are safe from any radiation until we confirm exposure from our control panel. The area lighting up is where all the rays are exposed to.

Fellow rad tech here. How do you feel when you get an order for hip and femur same side two separate orders requesting complete studies (all views and exposures) requested? Our protocol for a hip is to obtain an AP pelvis along with AP hip and Frog or X-table (when appropriate). When I get (and it irritates me to no end) a complete hip series and femur series for same side, I just do a Pelvis and femur since we get the proximal hip joint, AP and LAT (on 10 x 12). I used to cower when I was a newbie but now no. It is redundant and frankly overexposure to the patient. Also unethical and opposed to ALARA.
