Man, just want you all to know you do an awesome job. I’ve been an avid follower for the better part of 8 years or more and it’s very rare that I miss a video of your work. During this time, I’ve actually started my own deck building company in VA within the last couple years and I use a good amount of your ideas and am always getting the compliments of my work for which I have to thank you all for. You’ve been the motivation for me to get out there and to keep it going. Keep up the awesome work, and thoroughly enjoy your content and your down to earth demeanor that makes the viewings much more enjoyable. Again, thank you!

Something cool to add - if you deal with a lot of heavy stuff, an I beam trolley hoist on the ceiling, assuming the trusses can handle the weight.

I would have loved 10 ft ceilings, but 20 ft was the max total height of the building and this way I was able to get 7 ft headroom in the loft. GO BIRDS!!

For the special feature of the shop, I've got a few ideas. A rotating/swiveling workbench to reveal different work surfaces, an integrated dust collection system for woodworking projects, some type of smart home integration, a built-in beverage station/bar area, or a large "mural" on one of the walls to showcase previous projects. Hope you like the options and I'll be looking forward to see what you go with!

If your trusses are off the 24” layout, wouldn’t that be the cause of your discrepancy that you found issue with?
@THEpremieroutdoor5 ай бұрын
I probably didn’t do a great job of explaining that….the last 2 trusses are 39” apart to accommodate the stairwell, so the two trusses before that end up being less than 24” OC. At some point the bracing got screwed in slightly off layout on those shorter spans and threw us off just a tiny bit
@dylanmiller77925 ай бұрын

Attic/storage elevator…really more like a lift. I’m sure with all the supplies & likely storage, this would be ideal to save the awkwardness of moving items up/down the staircase. Also, I’m unclear on use of space upstairs, it could be all office space, so my recommendation could be moot.
