Okay Emily it's 18:45 into the video and I'm getting more and more confused you need to make it clear how they determined get your colon was about to rupture they didn't have X-ray vision they must have done a colonoscopy but you left that out how can you go on with the rest of the story with the biggest piece missing I don't understand it how many state of confusion I made up my mind I'm going to watch the whole video to see how how much more I can get confused or if I can get confused to the point that I'm mumbling to myself I'll get so confused I won't even remember my own name on what I'm doing and you were doing it to me you should definitely rehearse these videos before you post them because this one here is all fucked up you draw conclusions with no information to back it up. You should bake a short video straightening out the mistakes so people know what the hell is the truth

I believe I mentioned in the video that they did a colonoscopy before I was admitted to the ICU and they were unable to get the scope in due to the level of inflammation. Additionally, I believe I say that they were doing daily X-rays and scans during my time the ICU. I posted this video while the memory was still in fresh in hopes of helping others and by the comments next to yours, I think I've done that.

@@EmilyParrisVideos I don't know Emily I know what I saw and I watched it pretty careful but to give you the benefit of the doubt I will go back and watch the whole thing over again I don't mind and I'll see if I made a mistake and I'm sorry but I'm positive you skipped over things and you jump to wait you fast forward it is way too many times I'll take a look at it and I'll get back

I had to stop at the 10-minute mark because there are some facts that you do not have straight I guarantee you. You said they were sending you for an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy correct? You said you go to the room and was struck with fear right? Then they gave you an enema correct,? Can you start talking about the upper endoscopy right? In the colonoscopy is next correct? First of all they do not give you an enema for an upper endoscopy no way anybody ever I know exactly what I'm talking about unless that was preparation for the colonoscopy was it,? That's a mistake right there because a colonoscopy requires a full day's preparation of not eating and taking bowel clearing chemicals there is NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT THEY CAN CONDUCT A COLONOSCOPY IF YOU'RE LOADED WITH POOP UNTIL YOU DO THE ONE DAY PREP AND THERE'S NO WAY YOU COULD HAVE DONE THE ONE DAY PREP SO A SMALL ENEMA IS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT SLIGHTEST DENT CAN YOU TELL US A TURN THE ENDOSCOPY AFTERWARDS THEY TELL YOU YOUR COLD IS READY TO BURST HOW CAN THAT BE THEY CAN'T SEE YOUR COLON FROM AN UPPER ENDOSCOPY THE FARTHEST I CAN SEE IS YOUR STOMACH YOU GET YOUR FACTS ALL OUT OF ORDER THE ONLY WAY THEY COULD DETERMINE THAT WAS FROM THE COLONOSCOPY AND HOW COULD YOU HAVE A COLONOSCOPY IF YOU WEREN'T PREPPED? 2 + 2 DO NOT EQUAL 4 HERE SOMETHING'S MISSING I URGE YOU TO EXAMINE YOUR CONSCIENCE AND GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT. I DON'T MIND WATCHING THE WHOLE VIDEO I THINK YOU'RE BRAVE TO DO THIS I FEEL BAD FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU I CAN RELATE JUST A LITTLE BIT I HAD NEARLY OSTOMY BAG FOR 4 MONTHS

Not wanting to date someone with a pouch and you have one is hypocritical. It speaks volumes about your character. This is why so many people have issues finding true love. You limit relationships based on things that really don’t matter in life.

I was recommended to get this surgery by many doctors but chose not to. The first time I was told to do it was over 25 years ago when I was getting a blood transfusion for anemia from colitis. A few years ago my doctor told me I did the right thing. I still have a lot of problems though. I'm on both Entyvio and Rinvoq and had a bout again this year with a parasitic infection, cryptosporidium antigen. You should understand that these doctors, even the gastroenterologists who don't perform the surgery, receive financial incentives for getting patients to do this surgery which is quite expensive. They don't recommend it for purely objective reasons.

This just popped up in my feed and although it is pretty old I just wanted to say a couple things. I got my stoma after emergency surgery and it was a bit of an adjustment. It was kind of trial and error but as you know it gets easier. I have had every malfunction at least once but after I got it down I rarely have any problems now. I didn't use any deodorizer for a long time but it is really nice and helps the poop slide out better than milking it out. I am about a year and a half post surgery. I am curious about you saying you have had two stomas and I thought you had a resection but it looks like they stole your backdoor so that would make it hard to poop so I guess there must have been an issue with the first one and they had to redo it. Mine sticks out enough to be able to use a ring and a flange. I like the skin prep wipes to put a little film on my skin to help with the seeping around the ring. Anyway take care :)

Has anyone else walked around not realizing their bag was hanging out under their shirt? It's so embarrassing. I later learned that almost nobody realizes what they're looking at. You know what drives me absolutely crazy though? Getting stopped and searched every single time I go through an airport by TSA. For me the paranoia is the second worst. For our honeymoon my wife and I went zip lining in Hawaii and it immediately ripped off the first one. I was two hours away from our hotel without a car and I couldn't find an Uber. My second worst experience was when I was at a wedding and tried to squeeze by someone and a doorknob caught my bag and ripped it off. Thankfully everyone was so kind and understanding, but it still haunts me at night.

I'm getting my reversal in nine hours and my surgeon said that there's a 70% chance he won't be able to do it all at once and that I'll wake up with a new ileostomy. I can't sleep because I'm so anxious. The uncertainty is what kills me the most. For me though, the absolute WORST part of these surgeries isn't the surgery itself, but waiting for them. Especially when they make you come in super early.

Diet is the most important factor with reducing inflammation and going to remission. No fried foods, no oily, greasy foods. No dairy. No fresh fruits or vegetables, only well cooked. Eat dry bread, crackers. Well cooked oats and rice is good with a bit of butter. No potatoes. Absolutely no alcohol. This works going into remission, after a few weeks, start adding healthy eating habits. Best of luck

Thankyou for being so open to sharing such personal stuff. I've previously had a pretty emotionally rough experience with a urostomy full time for about 18months & a lot of what you shared resonated with me. I definitely agree that your own attitude to your body image & personal struggles influences how other people react and treat you.
