William Buckley's comments have not stood the test of time, while Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged has shown itself to be prophetic in so many ways, with the cancers of cultural marxism and wokism slowly destroying whatever is good.

Buckley's quick mind, always deals well with the tired points of these fanatical obtuse anti-drug moralists. And its all logically consistent with his values of individual freedom and free enterprise

Bless Mr. Buckley's heart but the greatest selling novel in the history of the world is Don Quixote followed by a Tale of Two Cities followed by Le Petit Prince. Where does he get his statistics? Atlas Shrugged does not even make the top ten. What is his source to make such a statement? It placed 20th on the Great American Read in 2018, but is hardly the same.

2:10 I wonder if he's maybe referring to john in these statements. John did a lot of heroin in the later years of the beatles.

0:49 that's just objectively false. So many novels have sold more than Atlas Shrugged. Makes me wonder if Buckley actually believed much of anything he said, or if he was more concerned about dramatically presenting his observations as profound.

She seemed mildly Psychotic in decribing her opposition to helping people, Altruism, charity. She was damaged by Russian Communism - so she became mentally warped. I am in support of her writing. Fountainhead and Atlas Shruged . but then you have the low life like Republican Senators who. accept her so called objectivism completly , unquestionably and swallow it whole. Fools.

Groucho was right about FDR running too many times, especially the last time. FDR had done a great job holding the nation together through the Great Depression and WWII but he WAS too ill for a 4th term. Thank God the party leadership prevailed on him to replace the weak and dangerously naive VP Henry Wallace with Harry Truman. Truman was precisely the man we needed at that incredibly perilous moment in history. The bomb ended the war, saved countless allied lives, prevented the Japanese civilization from commiting hari kari and the Marshall plan rescued western Europe from the clutches of Soviet communism. Truman was the first world leader to provide Israel with official recognition and the Korean War prevented the brutal, communist Kim dynasty from gaining control over S. Korea. That's why Harry Truman is a top ten president along with Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR and Reagan.

Neo Nazis say all Jews are non white communists and communists say Jews are all white supremacist greedy capitalists. Neo Nazis complain about Jewish contributions to the civil rights movement and the commies pretend they weren't even there. Some complain that Jews don't assimilate others complain they assimilate too much. I could go on and on because Jews are "Gumby". They're whatever you need them to be. A one stop shop for all your race hating needs. If they didn't exist there would be another group in the Western world accused of the same incongruous mix of character traits and hidden conspiracies. Yet it is the two religions based on Judiasm that have centuries of history that include mass murder, slavery, conquest and oppression. No "conspiracy theories" are necessary to locate those centuries of crimes against humanity. And those crimes continue in N. Africa, Middle East and all the way to Indonesia. Yet some still obsess about Jews, even as they continue to use medicine and technologies they invented. Amazingly delusional, wouldn't you agree?
