This will be a great idea. One day a very powerful and mysterious wizard vanished from the world. It was said he left his research behind but no one knows where. Many people went searching but never found the location or any hints. One day a princess fell in love with a commoner and she wanted to escape her imprisonment. A trophy display for others, as she does so her lover helps but in the process of having a new life together, he sacrifices his life. For everything she managed to do she still gets caught. And is punished by being imprisoned in a tower that is about to collapse. A week flies by and she stumbles on a secret. It is the mysterious wizard hideout. On the table, there is a notebook. "Dear reader, I am not sure who you are but if you are reading this then you are qualified to become my only discipline. I do not care if you found this place or stumbled upon it all i require is you enjoy what you read and improve on it...." And the story starts.

5ft is a rough approximation of arm span, weapon size, and the zone for weapons to contact. When you roll an attack, it is not your character swinging one time every six seconds. It is an abstraction of one of your many strikes actually landing during all the normal parrying and feinting done in an actual sword fight. 5ft of space per person is actually quite conservative, considering most sword fights tend to move back and forth a lot, given decent foot work.

My D&D Campaign found a crystal and my brother licked it because he got a nat 2 on intelligence. And he kept licking it even though it shocked him, because he liked it.

Those kinds of conversations occur fairly often in my campaigns. I will roll for the players for certain rare events, such as a player's perception roll that I don't want them to know about. They can hear me roll though, so I then text messages out to a couple players. Sometimes they contain vital info. If they rolled poorly though, I send them information that could lead them entirely off track. If they are naturally perceptive, I have them notice something that is real, but irrelevant, so they think they're onto something, and the other players doubt themselves a bit.

Screw it more why not both? You appear in the middle of the desert and help some dude and then dissappear in the gust of sand that appears?
