That does annoy me that well you can't actually service the pcv valve on these engines i bought the same one online no less too and now im stuck with it. I cleaned that one thats there a bit with brake cleaner and blew it out. So theres that, i took it off to do a valve cover gasket and a tune up too. Wire number 3 was a bit cranky after i pulled it off to check for spark one time when my truck wouldn't start. also the plugs were nasty and worn too actually. I had fun with my truck today cleaned the valve cover made it look nice too, heaps of like oil that turned to like grease??? On the valve cover it was nasty, the old stuff was scraping off in fat chunks and rolled up too. It was gross.

Not so, springs are breaking at 4k. Out of adjustment also at 5k.
@malcolmnuttall31659 ай бұрын
This is as common as mud, the collar is known to fail on all years, the spring breaks and the collar gets heavy wear, becomes sloppy and it snaps off, into the sump, then drive force will slacken the lock pin , the chain will fly around eating the guides and eventually derail then your balacer is toast, DO THE DOOHICKEY EARLY!!

Good idea, but I would be wanting to take it a step further. and run & fix the cables and plugs to the inside vehicle, Keeping them out of the mud and sand, and out of harms way in general. More importantly, keeping them off the ground means nobody is going to trip over them and need to be rushed to hospital, especially when an Ambulance is not able to reach you. Just be sure to run Fuses and an Isolator as close to the battery as possible.
@origionaldz11 ай бұрын
It was a quick video, I have a circuit breaker right on the battery for it. If the cables stay with the trailer you won’t have to have a set run for each vehicle. I’m cheap, but you do make a good point.
@Kyle-ev4fk11 ай бұрын
I agree that you don't need a battery on the trailer, but why not run the jump cable permanently under the truck to the rear bumper? Unless of course you use the cable on multiple trucks.
@origionaldz11 ай бұрын
Oh for sure you can, I live in Pa. I didn’t want the cables exposed to the salt/brine they put down in the winter which would shorten their life, the cables aren’t cheap lol

I have mine run under my truck, to both the front and rear, water-tight connections all the way to the Anderson plugs, which admittedly I've had to replace twice in the last 10+ years . . . but that included driving that truck in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Washington, California, and all the way to Prudhoe Bay, AK (and too many places to list in between) in all 4 seasons. If done right, there is no reason why it shouldn't last for quite a while and the only issue being the connections at the Anderson plugs corroding from exposure to road salt, sea water, and all the other elements that love to eat bare metal.
@origionaldz11 ай бұрын
@@janacke11 I have multiple tow rigs and trailers. For me its just easier to keep the cables with the trailers and each rig has it own plug. Nothing wrong with affixing the cables to the rig though.
