Thank you for this fascinating, brilliant presentation. This brought back memories of when we were taught to make linoleum block prints in elementary school. As exciting as that seemed at the time, our childhood efforts had little in common with the neatness, precision, and artistic decisions in evidence here. Because I write letters to the men and women authors who have marked me, I’m particularly drawn to this demonstration of Mary Cassatt as artist and letter writer. Maybe I will write her a letter about what it feels like to gain a better understanding of her genius as a printmaker. ✍️

Hard sell/ Let's ne honest it's just okay. in 2024, it's van gogh. We know his ideas. We know he had both ears and painted aggressively. Plenty of modern artists have more freshness.

Your need more black art in this museum. I went there today there is no black history or any black art in this museum. Why is that Philadelphia is too diverse to be having a museum filled with just white people and Asian history. Where is the black history.

Holy Cow! so rigid. Huipuies are pull over tops, with patterns/designs that originated in Extremadura. The garments indicated the origen of the Indian wearer, eg which village they worked/lived in; served as a visual walking id card, therefore easy to detect runaways

Many of West’s “historic“ paintings were inaccurate and used to craft a version of events and manage the narrative. His artistry is unquestionable.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art's "Museum Mindfulness" program invited me to bring my practice of expressive arts to a conversation on healing as it relates to this powerful work by Teresita Fernández. Grateful to've been exposed to such passion, courage, and honesty in sharing American stories.

The history is clear, but there is nothing wrong with going to the Alhambra Palace to see the statues of poets, saints, doctors, ornaments, Arabic inscriptions, and Islamic texts on its walls.
