I promise you - the doctor might read it - but most likely all he/she would do is hand back the report & walk away. Being in the medical field, I have seen that happen several times. Their mantra is "CYA"..... Cover Your Arse.

Unbelievable some doctors do not know how to google. Pituitary tumors that produce adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) can cause both acne and weight gain: Weight gain: ACTH tumors cause the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol, which can lead to weight gain and fatty tissue deposits around the midsection and upper back. Acne: ACTH tumors can cause acne

Almost 4 years ago in January this is exactly what happened to me with extreme lower back and bone pain. 27 kg within 12 weeks and 2 years later another 6 kg. In 21 i had 4 weeks of pain in my spleen/colon. Threw up and then a pop and I passed alot if blood. Then it stopped and would show up a little here and there. Extreme bloating all the way up to summer of 23. In between that time covid compounded my already existing problems. Then came menstruation problems which led to a hysterectomy. That led to a second bout of COVID-19 and now I've had it 6 times.. Then repeated infections like uti, pneumonia, yeast, eyes, toes, swollen everything fingers, feet, face, liver, high cholesterol, low vit d, bone pain, itching, open sores. All the while these doctors are ignoring the results that are not adding up in my blood and scans. My scans have shown a 1.6 cm mass in my liver and half fatty liver, a nodule in my left lung, pet scan activity in my bone marrow, and ileocecal valve, 2 masses in right my adexnal area, and in my breast which is dense and a bump in my bladder near the entry of the exit. Endoscopy found a bunch of raised bumps that weren't biopsied and damage from h pylori and acid reflux. My colonoscopy from 6 years ago looked very scarred up with alot of white places that didn't look right. My alternative pathway was 109% reference was 39% a year ago after my repeated bouts with covid. No doctor could explain this not even my internist. I went from 48kg to 75kg in a 12 week span. I was active, a runner, a spartan runner, eating healthy, and no reason to gain. Then it reached to 80 kg. Then at my heaviest my weight started dropping coupled with gallbladder induced pancreatitis 3 times along the way. Now I've lost 22 kg in a year in a half.I live in the Netherlands and I'm being dismissed left and right. I've had 5 hospitals now reject me for a second opinion. I'm feeling discriminated against at this point. Until now no doctor has looked further into the findings that were found. No biopsies nothing. I am desperate to find a doctor on here that might recognize these symptoms. No doctor has been willing to actually help me here in this country I live in as an expat. 😢

A good doctor is hard to find. Sometimes you have to be your own advocate and insist. Insurance is also very important to have. They try to keep costs down if you don't have it. God bless you! As a primary care provider honestly we see so many women that sit and tell us how much weight they have gained and its shocking to them, etc. I sometimes try to refer them to endocrinology and now specialists dont even want to see patients unless their primary provider has done a cortisol suppression test which many of us are not experienced with.

I had put on more weight than I ever had in my life when I was under a lot of anxiety -so I understand how something like this can be missed. I had inflammation and aches and pains too. Once some of the anxiety decreased , my weight started to come off. I’m a thin gal so 25 pounds was a lot for me. My cortisol levels were most likely the culprit . I also had low vitamin d after spending too much time indoors trying to complete my degree but also living with a controlling immature man who thought daylight was for losers🤷‍♀️. Of course, that was simply an excuse for his own poor behavior . As you can imagine, his health is now suffering as a result.

Oh the doctor gaslighting over the weight gain triggered me bad.😢 I was eating 900 calories a day, keeping a food journal on my phone (for over a year) and had seen a nutrition center and found out I burn 1900 calories a day just sitting still and was walking 4 miles a day and gaining weight. Turns out my thyroid is a mess(among other things). They sure made me feel terrible and like a liar tho. Like I was some weird closet eater. I was so thankful for my husband who knew I barely ate and my son who is in the medical field, speaking up for me when they pulled this with me. I'm so sorry they didn't take your symptoms seriously.

How did you find out what the problem is?
@breezeh1127
@breezeh1127 15 сағат бұрын
@zye.... I went to my PCM and asked for them to do an ultrasound of my neck. I was having issues swallowing, and my neck and face looked swollen and big(along with my hair falling out, cystic acne and weight gain). She agreed even tho she had previously insulted me and made it seem like i must be going home and eating a mountain of food. But she only agreed once she felt around on my neck herself and realized something wasn't right(blood work was normal). The ultrasound showed a goiter, and when they went inside, 3 of my parathyroids had to be removed as well. ..even tho the labs were normal. Ppl don't follow text books exactly with how they present and doctors need to remember that.
@NickUncommon
@NickUncommon 2 сағат бұрын
@@breezeh1127Parathyroids are so finicky. I had one removed which was hyperplastic. PTH still high, but calcium never above high normal. Symptoms are there, losing hair is being put off as male pattern baldness, bone pains, bladder and normal body sensations are being dulled by the bone pain. I hope, there will be a specialist who will look for what is wrong. MEN1 was genetically excluded, but the Geneticist told me, there are many blind spots, the usual panels don't look at, and with PHPT, NET in my pancreas and other things going on, they suspect this multi tumor disease. Watchful waiting and scans once a year are what is done so far. Not feeling the greatest, still having to daily deal with unpleasant symptoms is hard. I sure am glad to have a sort of community here.

Why, why, why can't everyone in this country have access to the best healthcare? When you're battling for your life with a young family, the last thing you should worry about is paying for it all. I have the very best health care available and at this time can pay for it, and yet my doctors and nurses always tell me that they must clear a procedure or medication or therapy with insurance first. So frustrating.

I’m noticing a theme in a lot of these videos which implies some sort of negligence on behalf of our doctors. Glands are like the directors of an orchestra as they tell the target organ(s) how to behave. If the maestro is “firing on all cylinders”, then the pathology should also show up in the behavior of the target organ(s). In this case, the gland is sitting right on top of one of the target organs. To a well trained eye, this would probably raise a red flag in basic bloodwork. I’m starting to wonder if we are reaching a point to where things like blood screenings, X-rays, CT scans etc. will be double checked by well trained A.I. in the future. Too many finite details are being missed or neglected by doctors these days. It’s patient in $$$, patient out $$$ nowadays and if they can’t determine a diagnosis, it’s either your making things up, trying to get pills or psychosomatic. There are some physicians out here not willing to invest the time to “connect the dots” between seemingly disparate data to give us patients more reliable, accurate diagnoses. This is why I feel A.I. will play a significant role in medicine in the future. God Bless this poor woman and her family.

When someone has something wrong with the adrenal glands, high or low cortisol or even a person with bad hypothyroidism ... a doctor should be able to look at the person and see something is really wrong. I lived 20 yrs of hell because my pituitary & hypothalamus didn't function right and caused me to have secondary adrenal deficiency, I desperately needed steroids, thyroid meds, growth hormones, sex hormones, etc ... I was on death's door. I told them for yrs something is wrong with me, especially my thyroid & hormones ... they didn't care at all! I was a young wife and mother ... i lost most of my life because of neglect from doctor's!

Nowadays, it takes months to get an appointment to see a doc in 10 mins. Among these precious 10 mins, they spend 8 mins typing. The treatment is like a mass production line. Unless patients exhibit unusual obvious symptoms. Doctors usually will not dig into a rabbit hole to find out what is exactly going on. They diagnose by statistical experience for efficiency which is understandable. However patient is the first line and will be final responsible to their own healthy. Lots of time patients know their body lot better than the PCP see you once a year. Find a good, patient and careful doctor is extreme important. Sometimes could be a life saver. Like in any industries, a good professional is relatively rare. Keep looking while you are healthy.

The problem with cancer is that it is sneaky as well as dangerous! It hides between other symptoms for other illnesses. Doctors miss cancer because it is not expected, and there are so many tests for different cancers that they couldn't possibly go through for every patient they see, if there was a simple once a year test we could all have it would save so many people that could have survived if their cancer was caught earlier. Also a cure for all cancers would be the best result EVER! You have a lovely family support system, and such a beautiful smile that is infectious! I wish you all the best in your future.

Shocking that a doctor laughs at you when he is your 5th opinion. You are a young mom fighting for your life and that’s nothing to laugh at. What is really horrible is that you are battling for medical insurance and when you are uninsured and get emergency medical insurance one may not be hooked up to the best hospitals and doctors. I’m glad you qualified for good medical trials. Your face now looks like it is half the size and we can see you neck now. The photo of the acne looked like acne/ rash and coming out of nowhere can be a sign of cancer. Shocked that it took 1 year to diagnose you but that seems like that’s how it goes these days. I think when a woman says she’s gained weight but is exercising and eating right they aren’t believed. Most folks lose weight with cancer. It looked like under your chin was getting darker which should have been a clue about a hormone imbalance. You looked like moon face which is a term used when having a reaction to steroids. (I’m not trying to insult you , just an observation). Best wishes to you and your family.

@anglophils645 "affordable" is different for everyone, what bills do you choose to pay, do you choose fresh fruits and vegetables or health Insurance. People who say stuff like this have never been poor, you have never had to chose between basic survival priorities.

I so wish that this site would refuse to post comments by anyone blaming the COVID vaccines for cancer. And ban comments from anyone promoting alternative “treatments” that haven’t been tested and approved by oncologists.

Vaccines do NOT cause cancer 🙄 Some vaccines prevent certain cancers. Cancer patients are immunocompromised and therefore recommended to update their vaccines to reduce the risk of dying from certain infectious diseases (including Covid).

OMG. Do you people ever actually THINK? Or listen? Firstly, the “jab” doesn’t cause cancer. Secondly, she got this cancer BEFORE Covid. 🤮 Stop listening to anti-science nonsense.
