Per the service guide, before installing 2nd bolt on Driver Side, the oil pan bolt in the bolt hole located between the torque converter clutch on and U/D clutch pressure tap circuits, it will be necessary to replentish the sealing patch on the bolt using Mopar Lock & Seal Adhesive. Here you can use Loctite Threadlocker Blue or Permatex Medium Strength Threadlocker Blue.

Thanks for the helpful video. Early liberty's with 45RFE trans (2002, early 2003) have a different type filter (metal) and o ring, it is enclosed in a metal base that must be tapped into valve body without distorting it, most people use seal driver or socket that matches outside diameter to insert it, lube it with fluid, be sure to remove old one first, just a heads up.

Buona sera. Fate attenzione nel vedere alcuni video. In questo differenziale la jeep raccomanda esplicitamente il mopar e bisogna aggiungere 118 ml di additivo specifico. Alcuni tipi di olio la jeep li sconsiglia drasticamente
@midwestsynthetic4 ай бұрын
The Jeep in the video has an open differential and no friction modifier is needed. Friction modifier is added to limited slip differentials to prevent chatter, if needed. AMSOIL's additive is called Slip Lock. It may not be needed if you're using AMSOIL products. The following is from the AMSOIL Slip Lock data sheet: "NOTE: AMSOIL synthetic gear lubes do not require this additive. However, not all differentials respond the same and the addition of AMSOIL Slip Lock will eliminate chatter in mechanically sound differentials." Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment!

In particolare sconsiglia l'utilizzo dell'olio detronII. Questo è quello riportato nel manuale officina del mio modello di auto, che è quello ripreso in questo video. Tutto qui, la mia è un osservazione non una critica@@midwestsynthetic

Thank you for the detailed instructions. I'm wondering about the rotating torque required for the pinion nut. The 2005 Jeep KJ Service Manual says "Rotating torque should be equal to the reading recorded during removal plus an additional 0.56 N·m (5 in. lbs.)." Are you recommending 10 in. lbs.?

Hello, I’m gearing up to do this job on my daughters 06 Jeep liberty. I was looking at the rebuild kits versus a new driveshaft as it’s just a ripped boot for now but not sure about those kits. Anyway, looks like this video is about a year old what brand did you buy and how is it holding up? Thanks

Is this with or without replacing the crush sleeve because I’m not getting near that torque reading. If I go over 100 it feels like it gets hard to turn and feels like it catches. Also takes 30 in/lbs to move

I just take the fill plug out and use a mityvac manual fluid evacuator Its a 2.3 gallon Got it on Amazon I use it on my 2008 jeep liberty to suction out the transmission fluid because there is no drain plug But I also use it on front and rear differential and transfer case.
