Changed out the thermostat and still have the fan blowing. Is there a reset that needs to be done with the computer?

Once I did mine the engine light came on. Took it to O'Reilly and they erased the code. Now everything works like a dream.

Should you wet sand only the places there is oxidation? There are oxidation spots only on the wing of my sorento. The whole thing is not oxidized . The spots that are not oxidized are shiney as new.

Why not use a fuse tap?
@cmacia06Ай бұрын
I think you could if you found a way to cut the power with the switch. It would be easier than drilling the fuse.

Hey im having a problem finding my battery drain which is 5AMP I narrowed it down to #8 fuse which on my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L WJ it says on fuse diagram that #8 is: Overhead console, rear wiper, IP lights, rear flipper glass solenoid Thats whats on that circuit apparently a bunch of things. I tried voltage testing the two wires that went to the upper center brake light because it wasn't turning on and found it had a bad bulb that burned out, but i connected both leads to the wires and i popped the fuse, replaced fuse. How should i test voltsge drop on connectors? Or how should i test them to find which components has the short on #8 fuse circuit that dropped amperage draw from 4.9-5V down to 0.36v when I pulled the #8 fuse while having negative terminal cable off the battery post with test leads of multimeter set to 10A and on negative terminal and negative battery post and 0.36v is normal for my vehicle according to manufacturer (they say 0.35v-0.50v is expected with all the modules?) The other thing i should mention is overhead front seat lights that you click on has a problem. The right one for passenger side wont click off if the interior lights dial is on any setting but off. And the left drivers side click on light will turn off? Any ideas on how i can find everything in the circuit and test each component? Also what the hell is iP lights?

basically, you have to remove every hose and connector and then you get access "pretty easy"

@cmacia064 ай бұрын
If all the steps were followed correctly then you SRS until could be faulty. I would also check to see your exact Honda model supports the reset procedure.

Don't pull each fuse, probe the 2 test poles at the top of blade fuses that are there for this exact test. That will cut your time way down.

I got it loose by using a 1/4” drive low profile socket. Then just backed it out by hand. It took a lot of patience though. I saw online they had extensions designed to tight spaces like this. If anyone has used those before let us know! I wouldn’t mind adding that to my tool kit if it works

@cmacia06 I ended up using side angle snips to cut the female side of the connector so that I could bite it. Since I couldn't open it hardly at all so I was basically nibbling at it for roughly 45 min. FYI, I have no idea why people take the plenum off. I does help anything! It's not gonna make you access anything any differently. It's not in the way unless your hands are claustrophobic.

I really liked your instructions and how you got right to the point (other than the unnecessary footage of the trip to get the battery recharged). I liked that you covered checking that the alternator is charging the battery first. The only thing I had a hard time with was hearing you over the background music. I was trying to watch while outside, next to the vehicle with background noise, and it just made it difficult to hear what you were saying. I learned a lot, and may have enjoyed it a tiny bit more if I could hear you better over the background soundtrack. Thank you, though.

Rename this video on how to find a parasitic draw instead of a short circuit....Two different animals,,,,,,,,short circuits find a faster path to ground and burn up things such as fuses, while parasitic draws just drain batteries. Two different testing methods.
