I can see some distinct similarities in the look of the 552 receiver to my Nylon 66! The 66 would have been a nice addition to the test. Mine is amazingly accurate

I built one about the same time. Still have it. Still love it. I also got a partridge sight and a peep site. Both increased my accuracy but are harder to aim.

John Reed makes excellent steel mags for Rem 541’s & 581’s. They also fit flush with the bottom of the stock.

The white one is too small. Have it. Dont love it. Fhe green liner lock is much better. Slightly heavier due to full steel liners and more ergonomic with the flipper which should be on the axis lock one. The fixed blade blue handle one is a total win other than the belt clip. Its trash. Glue it in place or use it as a neck knife.

If someone told me they could make a dozen videos based on the model 60 and it’s variants I would tell them there’s no way, my hats off to you sir. The old Remingtons I get but a marlin model 60. 🤯. If you were ever to shoot a Cz 452,455 or 457 you would feel sick the next time you shot any other rimfire. Don’t get me wrong, I like your videos and appreciate all your effort.

I once owned a 452. After trying several different types of .22 ammo I was rather disappointed. The Remington 581 I had and still own shot circles around it. I know you are thinking that maybe I am stretching the truth, but I honestly wanted that gun to shoot well. That's why I say I once owned it. Perhaps the one I had was defective or something, but I bought it brand new and I was downhearted about it. Maybe I'll get another one and give it another try, but after shooting 1/4-inch 50-yard groups with my old Remington's, it would take alot to impress me. Two weeks ago, I ran across a Marlin XT-22, and it shot extremely well putting 5 rounds of Eley subsonic hollow point LR's into a one-hole cluster at 50 yards, and I only gave $125 for it.

It’s not on the website, I was in a Walmart that didn’t have the display and even the employees couldn’t find it on the website. I could not find it on the website. It’s an in store only.

Hey Cumberland Outdoorsman…. Moving into hunting season so how about a video on the essentials that every outdoorsman should carry with them anytime the venture into the woods? I have several friends who pretty much go out on a day hunt and do not really take any essential items with them. When I ask about their preparedness for an outdoors emergency, most say they just never thought about it. They are basically carry whatever is in their pockets and depending on that to get them through whatever comes up. I’d be curious about your recommendations on what to include in a hunting pack or haversack. Enjoying the content on your channel greatly. - Tennessee Smoky

A couple of these Ozark Trail knives offer pretty good components and build quality for a very affordable price. The now famous $10 orange knife with D2 steel, ball bearings, and an axis lock is a good performer for everyday carry. The new white $5 version doesn’t have D2 steel or full metal liners, but it is light weight, the stainless steel blade is setting on bearings, and it includes an axis lock. Both knives can be sharpened easily to a razor sharp, paper slicing edge. Neither are a Benchmade, but that knife company could learn a thing or two from these Ozark Trail knives. So, these new Ozark Trail knives are a pretty good value at a common man price. Thanks to Cumberland Outdoorsman for his review. -Tennessee Smoky

In my opinion, Benchmade knives are good but overpriced. Are you really getting a knife worth $200 or $300? I actually like the OT D2 classic better.

Guys just stopped by Walmart on the way home from work and got this knife and the black tanto folder. Both nice and paper cutting sharp, I'd say get the tanto as well it is slick in person even if tour not a tanto fan just get it. Alot of people pay more than $5 for coffee. I'm gonna get more to give as gifts as well and get another for myself to keep in the car

Good job, I have done a few full gun Cold blueing old guns myself. I found that a coating of isopropyl alcohol to clean, then using a hair dryer to evaporated any alcohol and expand the surface of the metal before blueing has worked well for me. It's not as good as Hot blueing, but a good hair dryer warm /Cold blueing.

Try doing the sharpness test from the edge of the paper- I think most knives can cut their way out of the middle of a sheet of paper-good informative vid tho!

I'll keep that in mind in the next knife video. After reading your comment I grabbed the same Ozark Trail knife that's in the video and proceeded to cut ribbon after ribbon from the edge of the paper as you stated. No problem.😊

Yeah I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma,and I looked for sometime for orange knife,no where to be found,one day went to Walmart was looking at other knifes under a pile of cheaper knife's the orange one was on bottom,so got it, have no clue how many they actually got in that time. But will check again to see if they restock sometime. Thanks 8:25 am Monday 11-11-24 CST.

The Ozark Trail knife selection at my local Walmart is slim to none. At one time they had a whole display case full of them. Now there might be one or two of them in the case.

I have the Tanto OzT in Green. I got it like 3 weeks ago When i was frantically searching for the Orange Wugout its a Damn good knife for 7 bucks. And i Did get the Orange Ozt I Edc the Tanto Flick on it is Crazy. Now i Must got get that White Storm Trooper Knife. Hitting the app and hitting my 3 local walmarts 😅😅
