I really liked the lights on/off mechanic.

One more thing to add tho: Wrath and Glory is actually quite heavy on rules. The reason why people say it isn't is when they are comparing it to Imperium Maledictum or Dark Heresy, etc. I was actually very pleased how well the game balances psychic powers, ranged combat and melee. Combat options are rich, game provides quite a bit of special gear and abilities that allow you to spice it up even more and once you get used to it, it is a very addictive system. Of course, d100 systems will be even more nuanced than this but if your previous TTRPG experience was D&D 5e, and looking for more complex system, you will be pleased with this game😊

I GM dark heresy 1st edition and I enjoy it quite a lot. I think it plays fast and the players have a lot of options.

Dirty Down Rust is amazing, just make sure you shake it until the residue is all mixed in and the bottom of the bottle is transparent. A lot of shaking!

Fantastic video full of good and helpful information, combat is such a tricky thing for me as a lot of games add conditions and consequences to make it more realistic/exciting but I find it just adds to the book keeping and combat takes forever to get through so nice to hear there has been an effort to make it run smoother. The G.M being able to reward Players who plan a fight rather than just run in blindly is a really nice mechanic as it rewards good play and helps with the narrative at the same time.

I enjoy your battle reports, it pretty immersive than live recorded battle reports.

Why did the Justical fire a point blank OW? Why didnt he attack first in melee? Could have killed the bloodreaper in 2 hits and live.

Great video thank you. Recently, and after more than 20 years I decided to get back into the Hobby. I was happy to find both Kill Team and Warcry as new games that both can be played faster and have a lower cost of entry but I didn't know what to choose so I watched videos like this one. I also watched many battle reports and in the end I decided to go with Warcry. I haven't even received my models in the mail so I have nothing to play with but here's what I saw in battle reports. At the end of Kill Team games most players reaction is "Oh I forgot he had this weapon or, I forgot this rule" It seems that the game has far as rules is not as accessible as Warcry. What do you think? Having more rules does make a game more tactical and I like that but not at the cost of spending all night reading my roster and my opponents. How do you feel about this? Maybe make a video comparing Kill Team and Warcry? Keep going good job.

Can't say I much liked Dark Herasy as the concept. Working for the Inquisition in some weird call of cathulu vibe? PASS! Rogue Trader just made me scratch my head in confusion at the time. I had no frame of reference for how they fit into 40k. Black Crusade hit my radar at a bad time; no mmoney. Found out about Deathguard shortly after. Only War is exactly what I was hoping for and it was poorly supported by the company. Their first adventure book could easily be the inciting incident for a Black Crusade game not Only War.

I thought that the killteam fandom was the same than the 40k tabletop fandom

I also did not get into RPGs through Dungeons and Dragons. I used to play Warhammer 40.000, as in the wargame. Read a ton of books and really loved the lore behind the setting. Than Dark Heresy hit my radar and the idea of playing a character in this world really appealed to me. So I got a the very first print, by Black Industries, before Fantasy Flight took over. From there on out we hardly played wargames anymore and have been playing 20+ years. Much like the gentleman here I end up DMing most of the time, but I do love when I get to play. My group is currently running an Cyberpunk Red campaign (amazing game), but I have just ordered Imperium Maledictum. The character creation seems som much easier for a percentile Warhammer game, which used to be the bottleneck. I am hype

If I have the Octarius box what do I need to be up to date to start playing now. You mentioned some cards? Are there updated rules? Thanks for any help.

I have heard it said hat GW was not expecting Kill Team to be as successful as it is and so now they’re releasing kits that were meant for 40k because they didn’t have a long road map (example Striking Scorpions and Scouts)

May pick this up but I used to play Dark Heresy 1st…may just pdf up for Dark Heresy 2nd.

Kill team suffers from a bit of an issue with the seasons and explaining to new players what they need, etc… I really wish GW would have a single core book with everything you need to play including core lists, etc… and leave it alone. I know hobbyists like to have lots of options etc… but new players looking at a shelf of book with nonsense lore names is an issue.

Imho the patron system is a pretty good idea. The Imperium isn't a very free society and individuals generally have very little agenda (hence the previous Multi-Game D100 system made a lot of sense). So having the archetypical self governed adventurer kinda clashes with the setting. (Almost) everybody is a cog in a larger machine and the patrons are a pretty universal way of imbedding characters into one hierarchy and another. It also gives the player a sense of freedom individuals don't have but still be active individuals rather than high ranking officers. It's due to the patrons power.

I like Custodes. Never played Kill Team before - as they are from what I understand a compendium team, are they no longer viable to play?

I'm of a mind with you; some more environmental/field aspects would be very very welcomed. Pick up games I've seen are already including them as house rules. Not always balanced of course, but it does make the game more enjoyable. Oh, and BUFF MAH KROOTS, PLS!
