Thanks, I could notice the following ( this kept me confused a long time): When mounting the camshafts to the specifications shown in the manual ( IN line aligned, 24 pins, EX line aligned) , the exhaust shaft does not "seat" completely...I've seen this with other youtuber, and he said it was normal, now I see the same with you, I'll assume it is normal, and proceed that way. It would mean: when the piston #2 ( right side) is at TDC ( "C" mark), the exhaust rocker arm at piston #1 ( left) is pressed by the lobe of the shaft... Please if someone has any different idea, let me know..Thank you all!

в этом двигателе при замене масла есть смысл снять поддон двигателя и почистить черпак маслоприёмника(перед сеткой) - там остаётся много мусора после слива масла - неудачная конструкция.

I was to build a KLE 500 based travel enduro, so I got a GPZ 500 and took the engine, carbs and CDI to transplant. Only to find out that it was too much hastle. The KLE frame I had needed some welding, which I could have done myself but I wasn't in the mood, so the frame went into the trash and now I have a 701 supermoto which I use to travel. The engines are a bit old style with the primary chains, heavy as well, but bullet proof, they go 100 Mm easy. I am happy as the 701 is another league in handling, power and weight.

Good video, but did you really use a kind of locktite to settle the pilot screws? And synching the carbs is usually done with an engine that’s warm enough, so did I miss something!

excuse me, i have a question: what's the logical link between head gasket and harrd manual rotation of the crankshaft? i'm asking cause my kle has the same behavior: every complete rotaion and half gets hard to push the crankshaft, while the compression and valves clearance are ok, spark plugs are brand new, and on top of that, the engine makes a pronounced ticking like noise on the right cylinder (i don't know if it could be related with a faulty gasket) which stops when i pull out the cap and continues a bit softer when i pull out the left spark plug cap. an anticipated thanks a lot!

Hello! I don't know much about this problem, the only thing I can tell you is that the first kle had a gasket that was approximately 1mm thick, the following models with restyling the gasket was approximately 2mm, I changed it thinking that the brand did it for a reason and the extra thickness helps to avoid contact with the valve, but the truth is that I still don't really know what happened and what the problem was, but it was solved, maybe by disassembling and reassembling... By having a thicker gasket, the valves are higher, and therefore do not touch the piston, and the rotation does not harden when there is no more count, that is my theory I hope this helps you, good luck

No idea sorry, I bought it at a kawasaki store, they only have a closed chain available there, but if you look at other suppliers, you might find an open one, which would make the job much easier.
