Only you can pull off pink pigtails as fashionable in a video. Way to go! 🎉

I'm late to the party🎉🎉🎉 but the end is getting near and I'm getting so sad. You guys rock! I'm going to be hiking the trail in Mount Rainier on Tuesday and I'll be thinking of you both. I'll be on part of the pct. Love you, love you sunshine, Nan

I recently learned if you breath through your nose instead of through your mouth that it is easier to breath when hiking. The trick is keeping your mouth closed when you can. It really does work for me when I can stop talking😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I hope that helps someone

Thanks for another excellent vlog with spectacular views! BTW, the primary purpose of the trail tags is for the ATC to identify how many thru hikers have started and how many have completed it. Many hikers don't get a tag, so they estimate how many of those there are and add the two together. 😊

OMG you guys have ridiculously fast metabolisms. I ate Italian food every day, pizza and pasta and so on, on my Way to Rome in 2000, and put on 5 to 10 kilos, even though I was hiking about 35K daily.

Tough one. Hmmm, NH and north. Mt Washington and presidential was mind blowing. I loved all of Maine. The Bigelows view was unbelievable and then all the ponds in future vlogs for the rest of Maine.

I wonder how different this hike would have been 20 years ago. You'd not have the technology to know details of ups / downs, at least not with such ease! Youd have to rely on topographic maps, rulers and dividers! Effort is the same, you'd just not have the pschological advatage (or disadvantage?!) of knowing whats ahead!

I hiked all over the Maine and New Hampshire mountains well before that with a paper map and a compass. Still managed to get lost a few times.

I think it is mentally easier now because of the tech, but I can’t be certain because I never did it without tech.

The boots you're using isn't protecting your ankle. Once I was hiking alone (never do that) and twisted my ankle so much whole foot got swollen and I couldn't move on that foot anymore. It was very challenging to get back. I always wear boots that does not let me twist my ankle when hiking since then.
