My favorite fish. I love how touchy they are. I have had a lot of different fish, and this one is the most touchy. It's cute to watch. They even stop and touch each other. They are fun and pleasant. Do not put this fish in anything less than a 20 long. They are explorers, and too trap them is terrible. Watch them before you buy one. They swim a lot, then hide and rest. 10 gallons is cruel!

According to Pond Guru, you keep the black sponge in the bottom tray, with a medium sponge or 6:23 floss on top, you then fill the top tray with just a good quality media. And he's the man.

While waiting for my large tank to arrive and then cycling it and planting it, I put my fish and snails into 2.5 gallon tank. I thought it was going to be just few weeks but it turned out to be 4 months.....To make the long story short, in this tank I successfully kept 10 pygmy corydoras and 12 chilli rasboras plus 4 ramshorn snails which had at least 100 babies while in this tank....I only had one small filter, but it was heavily planted. I never changed water nor cleaned the tank, just topped it up , however, I only fed them live food. Not sure if that made the difference ( I purchased moina, rotifier and fairy shrimp eggs on Amazon). must add that I did test water for ammonia and such weekly, due to small tank size.

Fancy goldfish are great pets, but they get too big for a 40 breeder long term. Adult fancies are typically 8-10 inches long if properly cared for. They're also a social species, so they need to be kept in pairs or groups. As a goldfish keeper of over 10 years, I'd recommend no smaller than a 75 gallon for permanent housing.

The fish is quite hard to keep as they are aggressive, their water condition needs to be changes over time with their size.

Justin’s Fish Tanks does the same thing. He just puts the pot in dirt 🤷 And he grows infinite carpet of plants ☝️ Noobs tell themselves,”Upotting is the right way”. Without any experience 🤣

So, I have an established tank of ten years! In this tank is; Cryptocoryne, parva-balense/anubis minni/ crypto-bekketi brown (apologies for the murderous spelling) and neo-caridena shrimp ×50. MtS+bladder I accidentally introduced some guppy grass and momo moss 3 years ago. I pretty much run no heater or filtration or light with a cultured/ mature ada soil. My tank is balanced! However the guppy grass and motor has erupted this last 6 months taking over! How do I control it? Better still what can time and nature do to organise this overrun?

What about Maracyn 2? I’ve tried everything else under the sun including erythromycin and Maracyn Oxy, to cure him of Popeye and white patches on his body. It doesn’t look like its ick on his body because it’s bigger patches. Should I use the Maracyn 2? I have it on hand, which is why I’m asking.

New owner of a 25gal tank, a year ago I bought 6 zebra snails. And now have 15 of various sizes. I first noticed small snails living inside the filter. They soon started exploring the tank and are now living out in the tank. I have no live plants and never add any salt to the tank. I add crushed eggshells every fiornight . I thought nerites needed brackish water to breed.
