How does the brakes feel. Does it actually stop the car faster or do they just make the brake pedal modulate better? I know these brakes will help out in brake fade making it take longer to overheat while on the Roadcoarse. Don't know if Autocrossing heats braking components up (Even Stock Brakes) do to them being set mostly in parking lots.

Doing this for my 97 Z28. I had trouble trying to find a company advertising CTS-V stainless Brake lines. Ever since Covid started, Flynebye stopped answering there phone (Just goes to a fax machine noise). Kore 3 luckily still answers there phone and took my order. So far nobody makes a rear mounting plate for swapping to rear cts-v calipers but I'm not sweating it cause luckily Baer makes a 13 inch brake rotor upgrade for 93-97 Fbody's that uses the factory calipers and helps provide more braking torque. But it's mostly a looks upgrade cause rear brakes only provide 10-15% of braking power on a front engine rear wheel drive car. Probably front wheel drive cars as well.

The knuckle is cast iron and not forged steel? No one is going to buy that.

Axial hands down way better than that overpriced traxxas junk not to mention traxxas electronics suck! Get the axial scx10II builders kit and you could make your own and its still less money than the trx

You can do the pen spring mod to the front shocks to lower them without losing all of the travel when articulates. Put a pen spring on the shock shaft between the piston and lower shock body

I love my Trx but as usual with Traxxas they give you bargain bin servos with a high end model. Just like with my Xmaxx the steering servo went out within weeks. Now my locker and shift servos are going out.

Cool build, I'm working on the same thing myself. I was going to go with the IFS but decided to use Beeftubes axles instead. That should give it much better stability and strength down low. I'll probably be using low pro shock towers from Extreme RC 4x4 to bring the cage down a little more as well. Good luck with your race, if you put a video up I'll be watching it. Looks as though you're building you're rig for the same purpose that I am, so seeing you run yours should let me know quite a bit. I think you would like the choices I made for mine.

Traxxas is way expensive for their products. Axial once awhile for their products to. So I want with the next best thing scout10 2 clone 😆... then you go ahead and throw a V3 gspeed chassis rails on it and you can't be stopped LOL everyone have a great day and a great crawl

Ther is no best RC crawler cuz if it wer then all RC enthusiasts would by it.. it’s a matter of preference n choice.. u cannot go wrong wit either one!!

oh ya, I also compressed the ifs springs fully in the vise overnight, softened up real nice

very cool that you worked on the full scale truck, if you want it lower, you can get rid of the bracket that lowers the shock position for the front and match the rear as it is in the full down hole. Also check out Ethan Boening at Extreme RC 4x4, he makes shock towers to get the Gatekeeper lower.

Nice video. I was thinking a truck like this might handle/turn better at speed if the diffs were open, or at least the front diff. Do you know if the parts exist to convert to open diffs?
