Do you put the probe on the floor of the tank or on the glass in the air? I'm confused about placement

Thank you. I could not figure out for the life of me how to get this timer working with the paper instructions that came with the timer. It’s working perfectly now. ❤

Make sure you are not programming it based on when you personally wake up unless you're waking up at dawn, reptiles need to know when it is day/night outside, not based on when you wake up. Just making sure, as he mentions setting it to come on when he wakes up.

Product is trash. Even with this video, reading the manual, and setting up the program like every other digital timer in existence, it still doesn't work... Power to all plugs, however the timer on/off function is not switching anything in the power strip.

Okay I realize this video is 10 years old and it was very helpful with setting everything up but still had a few issues with proper function. Adding this comment in case all newer models are like this. But to the point, I have to have the power strip on "on" mode for it to run its timed on/off schedule. If it's on "auto" the lights just stay on 24/7. Maybe mine is a one off with its programming, maybe it's newer programming for all of them. Either way I'm not buying another to figure out lol. I also bought a kasa smart power strip around the same time and I regret not buying 2 of them at the time. Kasa has an app that let's you program each of the 6 outlets independently from each other. Hope this was helpful.

I know this video is 10 years old, but it is also explained wrong… The 1-5 numbers on the side are separate programs, not the days… This unit has 5 programs, so basically in this video You just set the exact same cycle for each program… The day button selects the days, either single days, weekdays, or weekends. This unit can have 5 different timed “daylight”(yellow plugs) periods… there are several versions of this same exact identical unit, the reptile version is most expensive, followed by the fish version, followed by the gardening version, and finally the household “vacation” version is the cheapest…

After you hit the “PRG” button you can just set the times once. You DONT have to do all 7. If you want different days to have different times or you want to set weekdays/weekends to diff times thats when you would use 2-7 on the “PRG” setting. To set different times on different days you can 1. Use the “PRG” button 2. Press the “Day” button a. It will switch between each day then Weekdays/weekends. Whatever day(s) are highlighted up top will be the day(s) affected by that programming

My light is plugged into the yellow outlet. My program is set for each day on 8am to 8pm. It's 1pm and my light is not lit. If I change this from auto to ON the light comes on. Seems like it should be on and working. What am I doing wrong?

I went on vacation for six days my best friend came over one day to feed my gecko she only had four worms when she regularly eats about 8 to 10 personally I think my geckos a boy but anyway ever since then my gecko has not eaten the way she normally eats or How is she normally ate before I went on my trip he’s basically eating for worms a week on an average any suggestions? The temperature in the tank is perfectly fine I’ve double checked it maybe I should change your diet? I’m not sure what to do anymore. She has not lost any weight thankfully and she still looks healthy but it’s very odd can you help?

The most annoying thing about this power pad is it doesn't apply instantly. If you set it up at 3pm and want it to turn on at 7am and off at 7pm. It won't turn on until 7am the next day...it isn't smart enough to figure out it's already in an "on window" which pretty much every other timer in existence does.
