Yeah, I get rather paranoid about tie downs! I had one come loose once, fortunately the other three held! I usually go a couple of miles miles and check them, and then again where ever I stop!

I lost load once (ONCE, ONLY ONCE THO) this got told to me (adapted to suit names ) If in doubt it'll move about, think with your brains and use some chains. Pleased recovery all went well, even if initiative worked rather than CaseyLaDelle. 🤷 At least on phone there be moral support, you got there in end and that's your report. But all in good time we have our loyal friends, the ones who take the P**S till the bitter end!😂 I got this years ago and stayed with me since and similar conditions. Loads was secured enough so I was confident buy as in transit never stopped till at destination but tyres rubbed thru ice creating enough movement on straps plus stretch under braking etc but chains would of still kept hold of our loads you but be aware of unpredictable violent moment on trailer, not that of the loads so much leaving trailer 😂😂 worked for me 👌😂

Ok, when that kid still had his hand in his pocket and you HAD to ask him to help pull. Thats when I fired him! Pppfffttt !

Looking at the comments, man... Toxic. Look, he made a mistake. The damage was to a pair of vehicles and a few hits with a hammer, things are back to normal. Looking at the condition of the Jeep, the body looked great, but it's a PROJECT vehicle. The soft top is a wreck, there were parts of the truck all over on the inside of the Jeep. The worst out of this is embarrassment, the guilt, and a couple of dents in the trucks and ego. No one was physically hurt, no one was killed. A mistake happened and something was learned. Now there's a reason to understand what happened with the straps. I'm sure it was secure when they finished loading it, but, hitting bumps could have just knocked something loose, and with the deck being all ice like it was, that only exasperated the fault that was going to happen. We lose aircraft because of load shifts. We lose trains because of derailment and metal fatigue. We lose transport trucks because those loads shift, the driver takes a corner too fast even when UNDER the speed limit. These are vehicles that are filled and operated by trained professionals and who have been in the business for decades. There are lives are LOST because of those accidents. We lose people because idiots getting behind the wheel and driving under some kind of influence. This was an honest mistake, and it's something that everyone walked away from and everyone can learn from.

I want to know how the Jeep came off the trailer where it did, there was no stop sign or red light in site. This would require a better explanation and a drug test in my opinion. This whole situation screams “staged content “ to me! First of all they are not power lines, they are guy wires. They don’t conduct electricity. You were on the right track pulling the trailer forward, but you should have winched the back of the jeep in the same direction at the same time to get away from the guy wires then you could have used the ramps and brought it down gently. The curb wasn’t an issue, you could just eased it up and over that with the winch. If you are going to create content, don’t demonstrate how to do things in the worst way possible, unless you’re trying for a Darwin Award!

To watch that kid keep smiling and joking about the incident is uncalled for!!! He should show extreme remorse for the damage and take responsibility for not checking his load.

That's a bummer but at least the Jeep didn't decide to unload itself while he was going down the highway... That could have ended up really bad. It looks like a good Jeep, it just needs a little more work than it needed originally, and a gallon of bondo should smooth out the back of your flatbed. LOL. Lookin forward to seeing more videos of the Jeep and hearing what you have planned for it, other than fixing the big dent on the back corner 😎

I live on an other continent. Its posible over here that a overpass is local frosted. But where did he drive that it frosted and iced and later it was clean? Fell of the trailer? In my country thats an expression for very cheap😉 goods that were not taken from the trailer by the owner😉😂. Over here its common to put a sort of bridal over the wheels and strap these down to the trailer.

I'm 12 minutes into watching this video and I think that Robert must be made to watch all of Casey's educational teaching videos on how to strap down a vehicle on a trailer and then he needs to practice doing it for a few hours every day for a week straps on, straps off, and repeat 10 times....
