@1st_track_dents Wow!I just did a tesla on Friday..and then a xc60 volvo.8dent glue pulled with no issues,I just posted a video on my channel..Heatgun going all the time I guess that helped the situation.I am only a newbies so just try do you pro guys doing😀

@@Dentmasteryork Sounds great, yes both these cars are great for glue pulling with no issues 👍I'll make sure I take a look. Yes my heat gun gets used so much in this weather, mostly for warming up my hands! 😂

@MurodjonSoliyev-d6b7 күн бұрын
how long do you heat it?
@1st_track_dents7 күн бұрын
The cold glue only needs to be heated for a few seconds otherwise it becomes too soft, sticky and messy.

isn't it situational. like, if it's hard to reach for push then pull
@1st_track_dents8 күн бұрын
In a lot of situations yes, although glue pulling has come a long way and can give you a cleaner finish than pushing sometimes on certain dents, but it is sometimes safer to push than pull if the paint is a bit suspect! 👍
@fatsk8er628 күн бұрын
How long would that usually take
@1st_track_dents8 күн бұрын
This had a lot more damage than what the camera picked up and probably took me between 4 and 5 hours 👍
@fatsk8er628 күн бұрын
@ that’s pretty damn impressive i used to watch all your indepth vids always im like no way can that come out but always amazed me that you can get it so perfect i do bodywork for a living and i wish i could do pdr like you
@1st_track_dents8 күн бұрын
@@fatsk8er62 Thanks, I actually learnt PDR whilst doing bodywork and it was ideal because if I couldn't get the dent out is was going to be filled and painted anyway so there was very little pressure on me. After a lot of repetition and practice I used to save jobs from being painted. With PDR you do have to be doing everyday constantly to get better and better. You should keep practising as it will hopefully save you lots of time on certain jobs 👍

The wooden support was ingenious Jake. Don't think I've ever seen you use this method, but it worked brilliantly. 👍
@1st_track_dents11 күн бұрын
Thanks Mark, a front wing is so weak so pulling out damage like this without some support is likely to buckle the lower edge so I wanted to make something that would prevent that from happening and this worked a treat! 👌

Of course you are going to use the 2nd method because you can charge more.
@1st_track_dents12 күн бұрын
Glue pulling generally costs more to do as it can take 2 to 3 times longer than pushing behind and good PDR glue sticks are expensive and get used up quickly. I opted to push as the dent was too sharp for Glue pulling. It has nothing to do with trying to charge more? I actually treat my customers how I would want to be treated, I'm not in the business of ripping customers off as I rely on recommendations. 👍

Thank you for your videos! I was recently hit by a deer, and though my car is worth a fair amount on the private market, insurance was pain and gave a low dealer rate of $2800. This meant the car was considered a total loss. I never want to sell the car, so I took the $2434. After watching your videos I ordered a few kits and tools from Amazon, $177. I’ll try to repair what I can myself, and then possibly have a professional finish it off. But I think it’s worth giving it a go as my payout is below my lowest current repair estimate anyways.
