Absolutely fascinating video - well researched, well presented and very interesting! I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I appreciated the attention to detail and was impressed with your editing. Far better than some of the rubbish on TV in my opinion. Thank you to you and the team for all your efforts. I’d love to see the next part, but understand why it may not happen.

Your Geiger counters do not measure radon, which has been measured at up to 3 million Bq/m³. Breathing that in, most of the daughter products -charged particles of alpha-emitting, polonium, lead and bismuth - will stick in your lungs emitting alpha particles for the next 20+ years. It is equivalent to smoking about 100,000 cigarettes in one hour!

Do you want to come up to Gunnislake and run your Geiger counter over my minerals collection? I've even got lollingite from the only mine in Europe that was closed ( temporarily) by shipwreck , the sample also has a small amount of cobaltite. Ask Rob Lawrence , we know of each other.

The old men in some way knew , possibly by experience that some areas are not to be used for vegetables or animal husbandry. A good example is Dowgas, near Burngullow. It's etymological roots being Dowr & Gas, an imperative order to " leave the water alone" in ancient Cornish . You'll end up with five legged sheep or cancers if drinking the water of the tributary of the river Fal in St. Stephen in Brannel parish.

This is absolutely insane, you should not have gone inside the adit itself, the internal radon dose you would have recieved is basically a guaranteed lung cancer dose and could have been well into the 20mSv range depending on time. Its just not worth it considering how little is left in the adit itself.

The 20mSv dose is two full-body CT scans, but that is from direct gamma and beta radiation from the mine wallrock. The problem wit radon is that it has been measured at up to 3 million Bq/m³ and compared to a typical house of 50 Bq/m³ that is about 150 years exposure in 1 hour. A Geiger counter does not measure radon.

I lived in Four Lanes in the 70`s and saw the original UHF part of the Mast being installed by Venn Bros to bring Colour and BBC2 to Cornwall as at the time we only had BBC1 and ITV from Caradon Hill . They used the guy wires to lift equipment up to the top. If I remember correctly it took about two or three months to install due to weather conditions. There`s an old Four Lanes saying, `If you can see the Mast, its not raining? If you cant see it, its raining!`

@jacobsrandomvideochannel45864 ай бұрын
Dynamite is Nitroglycerin-based, Not TNT based! as TNT (Trinitrotoluene) is completely different from Nitroglycerin (Trinitroglycerine) in terms of power, stability and physical properties, Nitroglycerin is a sensitive oily liquid which can be set off relatively easy with a light hammer tap and produces more power than TNT gram to gram, whereas Trinitrotoluene is a crystalline solid that is somewhat difficult to set off without a strong detonation from a blasting cap, TNT has a completely different chemical make up than Nitroglycerin, and TNT can't break down into Nitroglycerin as toluene and glycerin are completely different substances, it's like saying silver will decompose into gold or bleach will decompose into red wine type of deal.

Well I am a few years late to the party but I will say that this was an excellent bit of sleuthing and informed analysis. My resent trip to Prothcurno Museum to drop off some historical communications kit for their safe keeping, led me to 'nose' about. You however have provided some answers to questions I had not yet considered. As for GCHQ NSA etc etc, well so much is in the public domain but the significance is lost on many. The spying 'Epsilon' etc thats been going on for ages the interesting thing is that data passing over our soil is fare game. I have come across odd boxes in equipment rooms with no truthful description but the telephone number would be answered. I point you and your followers to YT ' ManchesterRIngway' kzbin.info/www/bejne/moW7lKWZdpd2qbc where Lewis explains the significance of the now demolished 'Capenhurst tower' which is just down the road form me. Sneaky but necessary. Well done Mark and remember the best place to hide something is in plain sight, Ice cream shops seem popular.

A mine shaft collapsed a few years ago nere my house, there was nothing to say there was a mine shaft there. Juts grass on a football pitch!! I couldn't believe there was a 500-foot hole directly underneath the grass i play football on. Apparently that was "capped" but there was nothing on ground level indicating a shaft. Its like nobody knew it was there.
