Wow, what beautiful scenery. Brilliant video, Mark, and I love your choice of music. What an asset this is for the Helston railway. I hear that the granite viaduct is in excellent condition, even though it has been disused for 60 years!!

Remember having to run across the viaduct back in th 1970s when doing school cross country... the route followed the disused rail line from Helston ... It wasnt overgrown back then , .. The station at Helston was still there at that time , but boarded up.

I absolutely loved this, what a brilliant video with beautiful footage. Please can you direct me to any links or references where I can learn more about the Iron Age Palace of King Garrett please, I can't find anything with a Google search. Many thanks.

I would encourage people to pay a visit to the helston railway, with limited resources and enthusiasm they are doing great things, a little help from a certain estate would be appreciated however...

Superb Would be nice to see local investment in local infrastructure such this one however I suspect it will have to wait until Cornish devolution and the return of the Stannary

Great video Mark but this line was not subject to Dr beechams cut it was before all of that but one day we will see a railway go over it once again
@MarkThomasChannel4 жыл бұрын
From what I understand the passenger service was withdrawn before but freight continued until Beeching cut it, or the other way around.
@kernow..exp.4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark passenger services was cut first and then the freight continued for three years after that
