Keep it coming reminds me of my childhood when the local mechanic shop raced those and Packards every Friday night at the local dirt track and was always in the top 5. He raced until he was in his 70's . I believe that they would not let him race when he wouldn't place after a while. It was a great shame due to when they kicked him out he went down hill quickly, in 6 months he was out of business due to age and lack of motivation since they wouldn't let him race anymore. Good morning and enjoy your weekend!

Again, reason number 1 on why us cars guys/gals can’t have nice stuff living in the rust belt. Hope to be down south within 5 years

there should be a central place on every continent/country where old tech of the same kind is gathered and collected for later use. how many parts of that merc would have been of use (maybe not today) in lets say 10 20 30 yrs from now!

I briefly had one of these to help out a friend of ours when she finished with her studies and the car. The car was already over sixteen years old at the time and was in immaculate condition despite the 150k plus imperial miles it covered. I really liked the sleek and stylish but non-nonsense design, the lovely metallic grey colour, the immaculate and soft plush seats, the powerful but frugal 2 litre engine and the fact that I only paid £300 for it. I was looking at them recently and their prices went through the roof here, in the UK. People started to realise that the best era for cars with the balance between reliability, economy, comfort and enjoyment was in the 90’s. Motoring hasn’t progressed meaningfully in the last fifteen or twenty years.

Here in Norway there is no such thing as 'a car having no title' (or a junk/salvage). Any car can be deregistered and then you do not have to pay any taxes and you can do this for as long as you want. Any car can then be re-registered, it will then need to pass inspection at an official traffic station (not a private garage/shop which is the usual way). (some modifications may not be permitted for road use)

Mine says ROT10 it's on a 82 S10 that everything but the frame is rusty. Passenger side floor board is made out of an old aluminum dumpster lid.

Your intentionally posting license plates. Meanwhile some podunk selling a 2003 rusty grand prix with 289k miles for 1800 on social media has a thumb over their plate in photos. I love it here!

Good lord, lmao people think their garbage is gold anymore. I used to have a 98 grand prix GT with the 3.8 at 160k and I only paid $2000 for back in 2008.
