That second Pathfinder couldn't go in the crusher quickly enough! Wow!

The goo is a mount probably for a phone holder, I get cars in at the shop where they sat in the Texas heat for weeks and the rubber suction mounts dashcams and such use turns to goop after awhile in the heat.

Those older Nissan pathfinders had great engines and the transmissions they used in the older ones were the RWD ones that were bulletproof instead of the crappy CVTs
@ShaneSaw25932 ай бұрын
So underrated. Weren’t hot sellers because of poor marketing and they were kinda pricey for not a lot of luxury. Super reliable trucks and didn’t come with the CVT.

My father has a frontier, east coast with all the rust that comes with it. 300k miles. Thought I wouldn't be surprised by this pathfinder

Those VQ40s are absolute beasts. Somebody made a video on an Xterra that had 500,000 miles on it. Yes that had the VQ40 too.

I had a 92 Stanza that had 475k miles on it when I parked it in 2007. The dude my dad sold it to still drives it around today but just not daily. Only thing it ever needed was a new alternator and a master cylinder. Also had an 88 pickup that had over 400k when the transmission died… we pulled 4 wheelers and dirt bikes up and down the mountains weekly with that thing. Nissans use to be good

Sad, pre-CVT, Nissan made reliable vehicles 🤔 Daily is an 08 Pathfinder V8. They were available from 2008 to 2012 to compete with the V8 4Runner at the time. Around 165k on the clock and runs flawless👍Perform routine maintenance and never had any issues. Stuffing that 5.6 into a body on frame platform like the Frontier makes its very nimble. It's a blast to drive👌

Always wanted to race my 2007 V8 4RUNNER against one of these. You have a few hundred more pounds so i think it would even out considering the bigger displacement and horsepower of yours.

On the first one, you could definitely take parts off the rear and the right side before crushing it. The second one isn't worth anything.

Like to see the Carfax, was that milage accurate? No way a PoJ Nissan lasted that long
@zzoinks2 ай бұрын
What does poj mean? BTW I heard Nissan engines are good, it is the cvts that are the problem, and the pathfinder and trucks did not use a cvt

That’s a pathfinder with RWD transmission that is bulletproof not the cvt ones
@AEMoreira812 ай бұрын
That third generation was body-on-frame. The generation that is truly junk is the 4th generation as that's the one that used a CVT (the current, 5th generation, reverted to a geared transmission made by ZF). The corresponding Infiniti JX/QX also used a CVT.

Nissan used to be decent. This was that era

The fact that the first one has that high of a mileage is crazy. But I’m glad to hear that both are going in the crusher as, like all Nissans, are complete junk.
