Currently an M2 and in the middle of what is usually considered our hardest unit. The burnout feeling has been setting in a bit, but seeing videos like this always kinda reminds me of what I’m working towards and why I’m doing this. Thanks for always showing your perspective, and for helping me change mine the slightest bit.

Glad to see you are taking breaks in the midst of the chaos of residency. I hope you are able to find some time to look back and see how far you have come in these short few months. Can't wait to see the amount of knowledge and confidence you will gain in the coming months!

The vlogs definitely help reflect on the chaos, hope people enjoy seeing it on the channel at least!

Amusing seeing so many young guys commiserating about long days/nights and the guilt of calling in sick. Some things never change.

cuz if we are not literally dying within the next 5 minutes it's not an emergency and we could theoretically be doing something productive instead of being sick

Despite lots of googling I can’t figure out the rotation thing. Why are y’all still doing rotations when you’re committed to anesthesia and in training? I’m so confused.
@NDMD2 ай бұрын
please look up how transitional years work or prelim years work for specialties like anesthesia, dermatology, radiology, and ophthalmology. every one's first year you must rotate through general services including IM wards, critical care, emergency medicine, etc to get a good foundation before going into your specialized years. which rotations you go through as an intern vary by program and is very common

I can relate to that feeling of shame when you don't show up to work, I've never been able to be absent from school in good conscience especially knowing that my classmates are there. At first, I thought it was fomo but it is really just fear of not getting ahead. It runs in immigrant blood.
