I would just lay some spike strips. Would make mowing easier as well, although I doubt you do that yourself.

My folks did the same things, tried rebar to stake the trees, brought in rocks to line the roadside, etc.. One morning they came outside and someone had stolen ALL the big rocks! They finally got the City to build a fence along the roadside and they set it on fire!! Next step, cement blocks, rebar AND concrete. Time will tell, ye shall know them by their towtrucks and dripping oil pans!!

I drive extended vehicles(SUV limo's and limo buses) and I try not to put myself in situations where I have to go off road. But I have a lot of stupid clients that assure me that theres plenty of room for me to turn around as they tell me to drive up their crazy driveway. If it's daytime I can always back out the way I came...but I've had some idiot clients really screw me over at night. I salute you for putting those huge rocks up and making things obvious for your neighbors.

Yup. this is how you do it. Looks nice too! My neighborhood has a lot of trees so folks use logs here to create a short barrier to keep cars on the road and off the lawn. I have a problem with big trucks driving through my drainage channels and collapsing it, forcing me to dig out again to keep my yard from flooding in the winter (rainy season)

I know this is an old video but, in my area, people use a series of rocks about twice the size of a bowling ball. Big enough to do damage, heavy enough to not move easily, and still light enough to install easily.

We had problems with kids in toy trucks and SUVs going into the local nature reserve and mud-bashing. Initially council (aka, the City for US folks) put mounds of dirt along all the open access areas, and some locked gates to allow maintenance vehicles to enter. They just drove over the mounds, flattening them out to the point where a regular sedan could drive over. Stolen cars got dumped in there too. So they put huge concrete blocks along it. About 4 feet long and 3 feet high. Locals complained that they looked ugly. Eventually they replaced the blocks its sandstone boulders like yours, but a bit bigger, spaced out similarly, and everybody is happy. Mountain bike riders and dog walkers still have easy access too. A few kids in lifted 4wds have tried to get over them, but none have succeeded.

Just come across this video, and one thing has me confused. The thing he called a 'cherry picker' I know only as an engine hoist. To my knowledge cherry pickers have a telescopic boom, with a man basket, and will have a small generator to run hydraulics, or a small engine if it's a self moving picker. So I wonder if calling it a cherry picker is a regional or local thing.

If you purchase posts for a deck and the boards have experienced checking, the best solution is to lay them on their side and pour a bead of Titebond waterproof glue in the cracks. DO NOT clamp at first. Let the glue sink in by gravity alone. There is no need to push the glue in. Then, come back in 10 minutes and repeat the process until the glue doesn't sink in any longer. THEN, use clamps to compress the beams and let the glue dry. After the glue has dried, sand lightly with 220 grit using an orbital sander, and they will be perfect. Pro Tip - when installing the deck posts, orient them with the glued side facing the next post so the repairs will not be visible once the rails are all in place. The posts will never check and look perfect!
