I wonder how small the Filter is, the Airplane has 24000l of fuel capacity and a range of 4500km.. So a Truck Filter seems barely bigger than this one.. But the engine needs 6000L per hour... To run the approx 1000Km... means 16l Fuel per second... How?
@zeto.r42 минут бұрын
I need to correct you, max fuel consumption during T/O is around 3000kg/h and during the cruise it is around 1200kg/h. Fuel must be very pure. There are high limitations for it. Also refueling truck must have a filter. Once fuel pressure rise in front of filter we must replace it

Hello sir, I have a question about the canister at 1:52. What is it used for?
@zeto.rКүн бұрын
It is a dome in which you have the pump this way it will always have access to fuel because from it you have a suction hose
@quangnguyen-rk2cbКүн бұрын
@@zeto.r I read about the apu fuel pump canister (28-22-52) in the a321 AMM and saw its function is to help remove the fuel pump without draining all the fuel in the tank. Does the canister in your video have the same function?

Routing looks very difficult - I imagine because the space is limited and the number of cables and hoses is high. Does dealing with routing like this occupy a large percentage of maintenance time?

As someone who worked on the B-52H for 14 years, these engine cowlings are dreams come true. It takes about 4 or more people to open/close the engine cowlings on the buff, a few hammers, and prying tools. After an hour of fussing, cussing, and using every R-rated word in the vocabulary, you've finally managed to finish one out of 8 engines. At least you can run the engines on the buff with open cowlings to check for leaks.
