The make over may be simple as you say but perfect for this cottage style.. the colours are really stunning.. I have gotten to love succulents as well have had to be more conservative with our water these days, they really are striking plants

The white plant you potted with the little flowers on it is Angelonia augustifolia - summer snapdragon. They're really hardy and great for warm environments. I have them here in Queensland. They're not quite the same as your usual snapdragons but they are long flowering and propagate extremely easily from cuttings and grow quickly. I have white and purple ones in my Van Gogh garden with a variety of marigolds at the moment. Love what you've done with your porch too. My porch is my little sanctuary and I hope yours will be for you!

I absolutely love that striking orange. With the number 13, and the orange and black garden, it screams Samhain/Halloween. And I LOVE that about your sweet little cottage. With that explosion of color, you could dress up as a Halloween witch, put out some Halloween decor and candles and film some future Halloween content. How fun! Is your cottage a bit haunted? Strange occurrences happening? You could use some rainy and gloomy days or evenings to set up the porch up in a moody atmosphere and have a spooky Storytime to post at Halloween or anytime really. Who doesn’t love a good ghost story? 👻 Sometimes doing something totally different on your channel can be so fun and spark a new type of creativity. Whatever you do, I’m right here to soak it all in. I love your life and enjoy seeing what you will do next. Thank you for sharing with us.

Porch makeover is amazing 😻 but just a suggestion ok 😊, I wouldn’t put pebbles/ small rocks in the bottom of that pot you planted the fruit tree in. Did you do it for drainage? It actually causes the water to gather there and then the plant still in the water too long . Better off just having a bit of mesh like fly screen to cover the drainage hole. And put little feet under the pot to stop ants from climbing in. Just helping ❤

Agree with the pebbles. I use small squares of shade cloth in the bottom of my tubs, and stand them on clay feet - or for better sturdiness in the wind, I sit the outside tubs on bricks. It’s a bit tricky having tubs/pots on a verandah because of the decking material becoming compromised from the constant onslaught of water. It does drain off and falls under the deck, but the timber boards could eventually rot out. To protect the timber boards further, I would purchase matching trays to stand the pots on - but still sit the pot on legs within the tray, to aid with air circulation.

Aww, what I wouldn't give to be able to share Fika time with you on my porch one day! We'd be chatting away into the afternoon, I'm sure. You're right, the tropical flowers feel so exotic - this summer has really reminded me just how extreme the climate is in this part of the world - in winter, there's snow on the mountains, and then, all of a sudden, hibiscus and bougainvillea are flowering and you're getting sunburnt!

Your porch is beautiful. I love how you created a warm and welcoming space. The orange is beautiful against your witches cottage 🧡 I love your cottage. It's a fairytale cottage. My garden is slowly taking shape. I've decided to embrace rich dark plum shades with lots of green foliage amongst it and pops of white. There is a beautiful big Scarlett oak tree in my backyard and that encouraged me to go down a gothic colour scheme. I've planted two Royal Purple smoke bush. A weeping Japanese maple, And I'm creating a very long soft low hedge of Loropetalum plum gorgeous. I found a vintage painted welcome sign I got on etsy in deep plum colours. My favourite tree is Betula Pendula (weeping silver birch) I planted two out in front garden. I'm also going to get a purple one. The dark plums and purples make the white birches pop. My home is white with dark green trim. The plum colours go really well with it. Your videos always get my creative juices going. I love your corset.

I'ts called Jiff & Diff wallpaper from Amazon but - warning - unfortunately it is not great for doing large spaces like walls and doors, because the pattern doesn't match up. It was so frustrating! It's a little cheap, sadly. The really good wallpapers are just so expensive!
