@@HenryLee-gq1vv You don’t need to get a burr up on the coarse wheel each time after its initial sharpening. Maybe a quick flick over to flatten off any dings and then straight onto the smooth wheel. Most knives go blunt because the edge has been bent out of alignment and a polish up on the smooth wheel is enough to straighten that out. This is why you see chefs using a steel often. They’re not really sharpening so much as realigning the edge.

No thermostat required. You just use a laser thermometer on the stone and when it’s about 370C you put the pizza on it.

​@@GeeWhizRS I just got a 2000W infrared burner coil. Seems to be a very exciting project ahead. Turned on just within 10 secs my infrared gun says "hi temp" crosses it's limit of 650 degree Celsius. I need to get a SCR controller to control the temp. It's way too hot for the pizza and for my eyes.

@@GeeWhizRS Sure. It's an uncharted territory for me. I may fail/succeed in my experiment. The coil takes a lot of time to pass the heat compared to the IR burner. Lots of things to consider. 1. IR coils have exposed element, so it will pass current. 2. The burner has to be kept upside down which is not in the design for that burner. 3. Electrical wire connection passes inside the bowl. Fiberglass insulated fire resistant wires are available, but will that take the heat of 500-600 C. 4. Will placing Stainless steel mesh in front of the burner improves convection heat just like in the gas ceramic burner a.k.a (Shawarma burner). Lots of questions going through my mind.

The pressure washer won't be sensing enough of a pressure drop to keep the pump running. Put the 1.25mm orifice back in. 👌

Thanks. I keep meaning to do an update video. The element blew after a few years and I replaced with the same one but didn't bother shaping it, just left it round. It actually works better. Also, I use a round stone sat on top of the iron plate that works much better and doesn't scorch the bottom.

Hi there. I've cleaned the brushes on the Gtech and they still arn't spinning. I don't think there's another air coming through one of the vents. I don't know if you have taken the cover off that to see if it's blocked inside.

I didn’t use a pressure washer, just a hose. It’ll turn the moss in the gaps yellow and it’ll eventually die. I’d recommend weed killer a few days prior and then use the sodium hypochlorite. You’ll then see the stuff in the gaps die and it’ll basically loosen from the blocks.

For me its a no brainer to get the NPQ. I had the Blade 6 as bought new and found the number ring awful. If you play any games where you use the number ring you just get bounce outs. The NPQ boards come with a generic round wire number ring. There's not a massive difference between the boards and you'll probably get an unbranded Blade 6 in 4 pack anyway. 👌

It's called sodium hypochlorite. It's basically the active ingredient in bleach. You can use pool shock, it comes TYPICALLY in 10%-12%. 15% is a really really strong mix. Just spray it on and it kills all living growth on the papers, giving it a nice clean shine.

Are you sure the grit is actually coming off and you’re not just clogging it up with the grease they include in the kit? If the grit is coming off that’s not right. Think the right glue is Elmer’s pva glue.

@@paulr5027 maybe contact the seller then and see what they say. I haven’t had to regrit once yet. Probably 100 knives or so. If you’ve tried regritting it and finding the same issue I can only thing you may be applying too much pressure. Other than that I’m out of ideas.

Thank you. The edge will be highly polished so I wouldn't say stropping is required. You'd want to use a little more pressure than you think on the smooth wheel. That makes a big difference. 👍
