The skeletons and dead bodies being left everywhere is actually pretty spot on with the Bethesda games. No one in the wasteland gives a fuck about corpse disposal.

Just finished the show, I had many of the same thoughts, and you also shed light on a bunch of issues I didn't even consider. I think it's funny how we both immediately thought Maximus = Finn. Like the bumbling simp for the main girl character that just fails upward while having no consistent character motivations.

The writers really should have watched the 1st fallouts intro again. Communist vs Capitalists good? bad? irrelevant. All countries on the Earth were fighting over the last scraps of resources. Almost like that is what every country and war was over... oh almost like "War never changes". No instead of that the writers picked one side as being the definitive bad guys. Before this the nukes being dropped was just a sad inevitable end to the world, like a stage 4 cancer, it really isn't anyones fault it is just what was going to happen.

"Why not just have them be dumb" sounds more like a scapegoat for their bad writing instead of a creative decision.

"I demand internal consistency." Feels like it has meme potential.

It rarely works on me, but somehow this time the visuals and the scenery-chewing performance of The Ghoul were able to distract from the glaring plot holes and Woke nonsense seeping at the edges of this show. But it certainly doesn't stand up to repeat viewing, let alone critical thinking about the story.

I think you’re great and your critiques are the best but, I can’t help it I love this show. All the “flaws,” in the show are similar or exactly the same as the game. I can’t help it I love the game and I love the show……. You’re still the best.

The whole vault 4 scene was a, “side quest joke” which is accurate to the game. They are literally kicked out of the perfect vault but, given all the supplies they needed just like 👍 the game. I could go on but it’s all cool.

When you mentioned the idea of new humans being created in order to make new characters and kingdoms and stuff, I nearly broke from confusion. I hadn’t thought of that (cause why would I, story ain’t the reason I play DS) and the first thing I did was start head-canoning how that works and the only thing I could come up with is that Lordran/Drangleic/etc. are all in the same place on the planet and the area is cursed and more normal societies exist outside of it. If new people are in these games’ locations, they came from nations outside of Lordran/Drangleic and traveled there. But I immediately caught myself and realized how common this is for these games and that alone is proof of how shit the “story” is. Lore isn’t story and the attempt to tell a story in these games is laughable. It’s like the devs were forced to include a story and they half-assed it to meet a publisher/director requirement. Ah, well. Cool vids bro.
