I will never forget the time between Breath of the Wild's announcement and it's release. It was such a rich time of speculative anticipation and creativity from the Zelda community and coming back to watch this video years later is just so heartbreaking. RIP Vortexxy. She was the first Zelda theorist I watched back in 2014/2015, before Zeltik, BanditGames, Monster Maze etc.. And it always stings a bit when they release a new video, and I see one of her videos in my recommendations 😔

About the reaper statues there are wood blocks on the ground you could chain people to them so they couldnt escape so in that way they could be used to behead people if you restrain them first.

I know most likely no one will see this, seeing how this video is 8 years old and inactive, but I just wanted to share a few feelings I have about it. I've seen so many videos about the Hero of Time's life, from people like CommonWealth, HMK, and Zeldom, but I never felt like the endings of the Hero of Time's life they presented felt right to me. Even MajorLink's Heros Purpose, while beautifully animated and composed, I just feel does not get the story right for me, as I think it kind of under values Majora's Mask story. This theory is different, I feel it just clicks with how I feel the Hero of Time spent the rest of his years alive, maybe its because of its more happy ending than the others idk. All the others mainly say that he died in battle during the Geurdo-Hylian War, but it just never felt right to me that he would just die as some solider in battle, after all he has been through. This one I feel its the mark in being bitter sweet, like how most N64 games end, being tragic, but not too tragic like other theories of how he died. Thats it, I just wanted to share my feelings about this 8 year old video, Rest in Peace Vortexxy, and thank you for what you gave us.

Decided to come here after Nintendo officially declared that Breath Of The Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are set in their own timeline; separate from the existing timelines that Nintendo had set before. Vortexxy was so excited and was already piecing together how BoTW would tie in. It really bothers and saddens me that they decided to go a different way. It is what it is. ❤RIP❤

A correction: Ruto is a river Zora, as she lives in the rivers of Hyrule and has a shorter aging process, and likely a shorter life based on the fact that the Rito age the same speed as a Hylian. The ocean Zora have longer lives, and the BotW Zora are likely a hybrid of the two. The downfall timeline river Zora got corrupted and became more aggressive to Hylians

I feel like the temple was a place originally build as a sacred place for spirits to dwell n almost be trapped in, in the after life. Similar to the Winchester mansion, how the build random stair cases to confuse spirits. Maybe at some point they could of used it as a strong hold but I feel like it was abandoned centuries earlier. N I like to think phantom ganon area is a cursed place that showed the trespasser their biggest fear, in links case phantom ganon. As an attempt to cause them to flee and prevent them from finding a hidden item, in that case, the medallion to the sacred realm. Maybe the medallion attracted spirits into the temple to become trapped. but to prevent any entity or spirit from getting into the realm. They put the curse of seeing your ultimate fear. Which was supposed to stop anything.

8 years today, 8 years since she was last heard from. I literally just learned about The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom a few hours ago. In the same style as the remaster of her first ever Zelda game (Link’s Awakening) and FINALLY starring Zelda as the protagonist. Yet another game Vortexxy will never get to play or talk about… I bet she would’ve been stoked. She and her loved ones are in my thoughts this 20th June, as always. I’m really hoping to play EoW, and if I get to she’ll be in my thoughts then as well. Rest in Peace 🩵

I think the goddess of time is Hylia because Zelda is known as the Sage of Time and has power over time and she is a descendant of the incarnated Hylia

They literally say that this place hides the secrets of Hyrule's dark and bloody past. I think Hyrule's first king was a bad man who built his kingdom on the bodies of those who would oppose him. After his death the shadow temple was built to hide the horrible truth. Bongo bongo is the kings evil spirit that Ganondorf woke up.

Thank you for your video first and foremost. This is a hard topic and also really debateable. I will need to disagree that the "Lens of Truth" is unnecesarry optional Item. While there can be a timeline in which Link indeed is able to "guess" where all the hidden rooms, platforms and Traps are, I do think this is far fetched for a normal human being even if he is the hero of hyrule. Another big point is that in the future the Well is drained so there is no future were Link didnt drain the Well. Now you could argue he just drained the Well but I would like to argue that he did that to get to the lens of truth, for there wouldnt be any reason to do so. Link actually learns that he should got to the Bottom of the Well in the future from an old man in Kakariko.Thus, Link should always have the lens of truth at the end of his journey because otherwise he never would have had to drain the Well. That is were your theory hinks because MM Link can only exist if OoT Link ends his journey. So how did OoT Link learn the Song of Storms? As Guru-Guru has stated the "ocarina boy" has played the melody 7 years ago. The interessting part is that in different languages guru guru actually doesnt say "ocarina boy" directly. The most simple but also boring solution is that another person has played the song of storms in the original timeline. Link just uses that to his advantage and uses the Song of Storms in the past which might seem like a paradox but actually isnt. Now who could that other person be? Saria? Perhapse Skull Kid did it. We do know that Skull Kids love to play pranks and they also love to play their instruments.

Last time i watched her last video i was a early 20 something waiting on a college class to start. Now im deep into my career and i came back from nostalgia. I think i come back here once every 2 years to watch these videos.

It's a sad tale that took hundreds of years to fulfill...only to be bittersweet in the end. Everything about the adult timeline falls into a shambles for the kingdom of Hyrule.
