Thank you so much for such a straightforward helpful video. Just also a note for those new to the terms: "special visa center" means subcontractor in USA. The location will not be in the consulate or embassy. It is its own place and does not provide any guidance - it is simply a submission of documents office.

I had no trouble hearing or understanding anything you said. Your lovely Spanish-English accent is helpful to begin learning Spanish and why it is different from English. I do wonder whether the recent floods are impacting where people want to retire. Also, do the high Spanish taxes on USA social security pensions deter people, or are there ways to reduce paying a large portion of monthly social security benefits to Spain?

My wife and I plan on applying for a visitors, long-term visa and reapplying in France for a residence visa the following year would we be in the violation of this visa if we were to work remotely turn extra income from the United States what we call here is a side gigour Social Security pensions is more than enough to cover the required income to get a long-term visa, but we would continue to like to work remotely. Is that possible?

It seems straightforward, but it's quite tricky. I was denied for not having a sufficient amount of money in my bank account. I showed €130,000 in cash and an active income of $3,000 per month from my business. However, the French government's website states that the minimum requirement is €1,470 per month...

We got married in India in 2020 December and have kids. So our marriage is more than 3 years now. But we haven't yet registered our marriage in Portugal and neither we have lived in Portugal. We are in the UK. So my question is can I apply for portuguese citizen on the basis of my husband portuguese citizen? Thank you very much.

I am an Ethiopian with an Italian Great grandfather. He came to Ethiopia in 1930's got married, started a family and gave birth to my grandmother in 1938. Since she is the first relative and was born before 1948, as a 3rd generation can I be eligible for Italian citizenship.
@atelieoasisdaalma236111 күн бұрын
Your grandmother inherited the citzenship right from your Great Grandfather (paternal line). If the sons of your grandmother were born after 1948, you're eligible. If they were born before, you're not eligible by the administrative way, but can be eligible by lawsuit.

I am a retired Canadian citizen, and I carry an Irish passport as well. I want to move to France, and I was going to apply for a VLS-TS, but I want the option to perhaps have a part time job (to speed the process of fluency in French, meet some people in the community), so now I'm not going to apply for it. I'll just register at the Mairie when I arrive in France. Is this the right choice for me?

My mother both grand parents were born in Italy in 1900, and got married in Italy, and moved abroad in 1920. My mother was born abroad in 1947. She told me that she does not have right of due citizenship because in 1947 did not exist in Italy a law that allowed due citizenship. This law was approved after she was born. Is this correct? Her mother was born abroad in South America in 1926 from both Italian married parents. Thank you for your help : ). Ciao, J

Hi there, thanks for your comment! The required income of €17,000 is equivalent to the minimum wage in France. It is so you can support yourself during the validity of your residence permit.
