I find sqeezing the trigger while maintaining tension on the backwall works best as it doesnt change your setpoint as if you pulked back with your elbow

Hey guys!!! If I’m have a jock low tear with bear shaft, should I move the nocking point up or should I adjust the top cam to make it cycle faster than the bottom?!? Which do you recommend or something else?! Thanks guys!!!!
@BowOnlyOutdoors2 күн бұрын
@@Calebott01 if your cams are in sync, adjust your rest down very slightly. If you’re shooting bareshafts through paper, ensure you get the same tear on all of your arrows.

Also with the grim reapers, when they hit there target they open up and stay open till it exists it will close again so it don’t break the blades on a pass though

That grim reaper is insane I use them killed my first archery deer with them this year 40yds on a 10 point heart punched him he went 30 yds

Really the cam timing should be done first before putting in your D-loop because if u do the d loop first and then your cam timing is off then your d loop will not be perfectly centered when u do the cam timing after the d loop.

Hey man! Just got a hoytt axius it goes to "30 draw and I measeired my arms 77 and a half divided by 2.5 is 31. Payed a lot for it has lots of upgrades but now I'm sick is there anyway I can shoot with it being "30 or anyway to get it to be longer?
@BowOnlyOutdoors4 күн бұрын
Hey man, the wingspan divided by 2.5 rule is a good way to get close, but is rarely 100% accurate. I would reference this video to see if the draw is in fact short for you. If it is, you can still shoot it, but there really is no replacement for having the correct draw length.

This is the third time I have watched this video. Loss rate for bowhunters hovers around 20% which is high but on par with what was accomplished here. Glad you are taking does, many hunters still refuse to. Have used all of the boradheads you have used, tests over 30 different types over the last few years on ~178 deer in an urban environment. Like you said, shot placement is key.

One part has me confused. It doesn't make sense to me, if your broadhead is impacting right of your field points, isn't it because your arrow is pointing slightly to the right, causing the blades to catch the air and steer the arrow right. Wouldn't we want to make a slight rest adjustment to the left? You said in the video to move right, that has me confused as to why that would correct the problem. Can you explain this part please. Thank you.
@BowOnlyOutdoors9 күн бұрын
@@johnfaulkner4067 please rewatch that full part of the video. Your thinking is in line, but the rest adjustment is the way it is because of the arrow flexing off of the rest in the opposite direction as it’s coming out of the bow.

Why not just use a climbing tree stand?
@BowOnlyOutdoors9 күн бұрын
Most of the trees I hang a stand in have many limbs and are odd shaped so a hang-on stand works better for me from a flexibility standpoint

Congratulations Rachel, that is one big beautiful buck. I’m 62 years old been hunting since I was maybe 40 I’ve never killed a buck that size. His body is huge. But we mainly hunt in Florida and South Carolina so the deer there aren’t really that big. My husband always tells me it will happen one day. I’ve killed a lot of deer and we mainly hunt for meat but man, I’m telling you it would be nice to have a big old wall hanger. As you call it, king of the double wide, ha ha ha ha. We’re planning a trip trip to Oklahoma this year so who knows maybe for my 63rd birthday it’ll finally happen, good Lord willing but congratulations again on a very beautiful buck. God bless you both.

I have the same release and love it, when drawing I keep my finger anchored right up behind the trigger shoe, when I get my anchor points set I then put my finger in front of the trigger and then use back tension. I looked at tru balls site and there is some really nice releases that have the same "hook" as the short n sweet, have a look... I also rinse my release out with wd40 silicone dry lube, (clear) not the graphite stuff.
