dead stretching should not hurt. this is misinformation. you don't "just shove it in and skip the stretching process" that's completely wrong. you were not waiting long enough and/or were not using small enough sizes. it does take a little longer, and the sizing up does seem less significant but dead stretching is the most recommended method of stretching by trustable piercers. tape stretching is more likely to gather bacteria and cause irritation. dead stretching with PROPER materials and PROPER time and care is the most recommended & safest method. please stop framing it as something done fast & dangerously. it should be slow, easy, painless, & healthy.

I've watched many videos on tattoo pain, some are just awful and others give good advice. I have many tattoos in various places on my body and these are the best bits of advice I could give to you if you are getting your first tattoo or getting additional tattoos, and no matter how long your session is going to be. Firstly everyone's pain tolerance is different so placement can be a factor for some people. These are my tips to help make the experience a good one, tattoos are personal to you but you don't have to endure hours of pain to get one. Eat a big meal before you attend your appointment. Probably around a couple of hours before Take a bag with some sugary drinks, lunch or something to eat during a break. Take some fruit in your bag with you. Take something to take your mind off having the tattoo, like download your favourite tracks on your phone that you could listen to. Drink lots of water before you attend your appointment. Don't drink alcohol at least 48 hours before your session. Don't drink a lot of coffee keep clear of in taking lots of caffeine. Take as many breaks as you need, top up on your sugar levels with some fruit in these breaks. Talk to your artist if they are a talkative person during your session. Take a towel or even a cushion to keep you comfy during the session. All these things will help make the experience a good one. One last thing and that's relax, don't scare yourself stupid that it's gonna hurt getting anxious won't help your body relax.

I used to use it at work sometimes (I’m a pro stylist) and it can really mess up ur hair/scalp if you use it too much. After a lot of product, be sure to clarify and deep condition!:)

Thank you for sharing. I've been cutting my hair for a while now but never was brave enough to go shorter than shoulder length. Well I decided to try an aline cut with a side shave on the other. An totally messed it up. Cut the 1 side too short. So even though I've always wanted a pixie, now I feel I've forced myself into it. I'm very nervous about it. I'm going to have some replacement wire on my heart so I won't be able to use my left arm for a month an no one to help me do my hair so I thought short was the best way to go. I can't stand my hair to be down and in the way. Thank you for all your tips. Your very professional at explaining and your very beautiful both with long and short and no hair. 😅. God bless!

I'm currently getting the first kind of sleeve (pre-planned and cohesive), but my artist suggested we do it in segments, so it's always completed with linework and colour/shading, but for one part of my arm at a time. this has the added bonus of healing/aftercare for a segment of my arm at a time vs the whole lot, and it looks like a completed tattoo after each bit is done. this won't work for every sleeve, but it works for mine

What horrible advice. A lack of respect? How about you not respecting your partners opinion of you? Tattoos can make you less attractive. Do you want your partner to find you less physically attractive? The my body my choice opinion doesn’t hold together either. If you want to sleep with another guy while in a relationship, is that okay? Your body your choice right? You don’t just get to do whatever you want without consequences. Personally, I have not, and will never hire someone who has a tattoo that I am aware of. It’s not so much having that tattoo. I don’t want people working for me who make those type of decisions. I know I’m a little late to the party here, but one thing that I really enjoy doing with my stretched ears is that I occasionally trade my spacers with my coworker! If there’s ever a style that either of us want and we know the other person has it, we sometimes trade just for the sake of it 🤷‍♀️ I know to properly wash and sanitize things first before/after switching and wearing, but it’s fun to exchange plugs with a coworker!
