Very cool hat!! That’s super nice of Geoff to and that your way! I can’t think of another collector who deserves that hat more than you, Theo! I think it’s also cool that a vintage guy like who and Geoff Wilson, who I think of as primarily an ultra-modern guy can connect over a modern release of a vintage player. It’s a nice way of making unlikely bedfellows in the hobby. 😂

I like to target 7s for my collection, but if I didn't buy raw, I'd never own an 8. took a couple L's like you alluded to, but can move on from them and keep my 7s and surprise 8s. I would think that everybody likes to get a deal. It's a lot of fun when you feel like you've found one. buying slabbed cards only, to me, would be boring.

Here's something no one is thinking about. The only way to test for foreign substances on a card is mass spectrometry to be 100% honest and who's going to damage a card to do that type of test?

I'd make that a "wear only to card shows" kind of hat. That way it doesn't get too much use but you still get to wear it out at the places you'd probably want to the most.

That is awesome! Say what you want about some of what he does, that was very generous and a really great gift. I would preserve probably, but then again it would be a fun hat to wear with a cool story to share.
