On the driver's side pull out the wiper fluid tube and you can get it done. If you have steady hands that is. These bulbs aren't cheap, probably 125$. If you touch one with your hands is probably ruined. You can try to wipe it down with 99% alcohol. To get any oils from your hands off of it but it still may not be enough. If you touch an HID bulb it's pretty much done. Ones that I've seen touched and wiped down with alcohol or acetone will work. However, I've found that they have a shorter life. So do your best not to touch the bulb whatsoever. If you go with the method then I'm talking about by removing the wiper fluid filler neck then you better be very steady. Do not brush any part of the bulb against anything as much as you can help it.

Don't forget to remove the fuel pump relay and crank the engine to take the pressure off the fuel rails! 😬

Hello, can you show how to change the air cabin filter please ?
@john-qb7lvАй бұрын
Good video. Best practice is to always weigh the refrigerant charge in to the system. The amount is listed on a data sticker in the engine compartment.

Pull out the windshield washer filler tube and you can get right to it. You don't have to take that damn bumper off. My CTS, yeah you pretty much had to take the bumper off, this one you absolutely don't have to.

FYI you can charge on the high side. Only with the system off though. It’s actually best to do it that way. You can usually get the whole charge in there and you can charge it by weight easier which is the only way you should ever charge a vehicle. Manufacturers only allow a small percentage over or under the charge should be by weight.

Whats that cap at the bottom of that yellow mark in the engine bay? I took my intake manifold off and my hole is open. Looks like the pieces was in the engine bay.

Great video thanks. About 10 years ago after changing my battery, for some reason my computer went back to factory default and the truck started going into reduced engine power mode and stalling. After watching a KZbin video about this someone that had the same problem he recommended to clean the Throttle Body and had a video on it. I cleaned it and ran like a new truck again. I recently had a mechanic replace my ac tension pulley and while there he ran a diagnostic on my truck because of a check engine light. He couldnt find any code for the light so he reset my Computer to see if the light would go away and now I have reduced engine power light coming on and stalling again. I watched your video for a refresher course and it was very helpful for my oldtimers memory. Thank You!

Hello, awesome video, thank you. Your video goes into more detail than others I've seen concerning that pain in the butt metal stud (held on with a 13mm nut over in front of a bracket in front of a 15mm nut. I can't believe how hard it was to get that 13 mm off!! I think I can get the 15mm off. But where is that other 13 mm you speak of? I can tell that even if I work the 15mm loose behind the bracket, its not gonna go anywhere until I find that other nut. Looking for parts diagrams just so I can understand where to look. If you have a diagram or drawn picture handy that would help, Thanks!!

Do you have to remove the whole door panel to remove the switch?
Great video and I have similar situation with 2.8L 30V in my C6 A6 but that same procedure will apply to the right bank on my motor.. the chain tensioner gasket and half moon are leaking (very common on these rear chain driven cams) .. I’m not sure how you were able to get the tensioner out without ever losing the chain on the intake and exhaust cams seems like the chain would still not have enough slack to get the tensioner out? And yeah I’m not sure I will loosen any of my cam caps on the exhaust.. I’ve heard guys doing the v6 without touching the exhaust cam to do this job .. I will see.. great job and another question I think it would be helpful to pull the crank position sensor or not connect the coils and crank so the engine can build oil pressure without firing up.. is that better to ensure hydraulic pressure on the tensioner ?
@ecanixgarage110611 ай бұрын
Yes that will build oil pressure

I gota replace my condenser, when putting the new condenser Can i just add ac pro instead of using vacuum?
@ecanixgarage110611 ай бұрын
No, the ac pro was a cleaner to flush the lines… you must vacuum to remove all air and moisture from lines before recharging
