@JosephR24 it did. I went to Cadillac archives, and it came back as a limousine chassis sold to a coach builder in Texas that matches the door tag. They have been long out of business since the late 1970s. So dead end

Very sad to see so many bikes aging in the woods. I reckon it would take 6 months to remove and catalogue for parts. 50% would be good enough to fully restore while the rest can be recycled. I would love to be able to fund and be part of that project

The motorcycle boom has come+ gone a looong time ago it would appear. Heyday was in the 70's--- Many were killed riding them but many more grew older and wised up--"like me for one" Use to love them in the 70's, but your a target for tickets " too many "$ Now it's a different time with distracted drivers texting ( even on the freeways--- " noticed it now and then") Theze guys with these giant cycle junk yards chok full of old cycle's---- Feel a little sorry for um 😩.

Just got back from the workshop and this popped up (well it's a day later here in Austria, but). Nice to see some progress and even nicer are the bits you got from QA1. I've been through a similar route on my 64 Comet although I stayed with the (uprated) springs and roller bearing spring perches which I got from Melvin's Classic Ford Parts (they're in Conyers GA, family business with great service if you need stuff). Shocks (black Bilsteins) I got from Mike Maier Racing and then fitted a 1-1/4" thick sway bar (also from Melvin). What I also did was the Shelby drop (Google it) and at the rear I got a Panhard rod set-up and springs again from Mike Maier. Goes without saying I renewed all the balljoints and track arms. Massive change, my car does not go round corners like a drunken Buffalo anymore!

If you haven't already done your sound deadening......I suggest you use Frost King, furnace duct wrap from Lowes. It does the same job as Dynomat, but half the cost. If you do the roof, or inside the doors, I suggest using some spray adhesive just for a little insurance that will hold for a longer time. But if your just doing the floor, get about 3 rolls. ($25 a roll). That will do your entire floor. I used aluminum tape on all my seams, but that isn't necessary.
@flatbrokegarage
@flatbrokegarage 27 күн бұрын
Great info! I have the killmat for the floors. But I'm definitely going to try that. Thanks!

Those shock towers at the frame rail are still good because someone dug out all the factory seam sealer sometime in the past that traps all the salt and water under it. The seam sealer I dug out of mine was to the top of the frame lip.

@@flatbrokegaragebeen a couple of weeks I was wondering how you guys were doing? Also there's a fella need some parts for a Ford falcon. Kiwi custom and classic is his channel. East primary looking for a good set of leaf springs for his 6-cylinder 1966 Ford falcon. I apologize if I've not mentioned him before but he is really into Ford mustangs as well. He is in South Central Tennessee, if I remember correctly. In any case, KZbin would seem to be a good match. You know helping each other out over time.

@@flatbrokegarage I'm sorry to hear about your back. If I knew you were magic item that would work for you I had to use it too if you know what I mean. Well I guess it could be worse but that's pretty bad. Thanks for let me know as soon as I am concerned it wouldn't like you not to put something out on a regular basis. I'm sure there's other people wondering. You know short video or posting about blowing the back out would probably gain you some views on KZbin. Just kind of keeping things going for the algorithm I'm letting people know maybe 🤔. Just rambling on here at my end
