Hello Florian, Thank you for sharing the video. It's interesting to note that in German-speaking countries, punctuality at work is treated with a severity level of 7, whereas in many other parts of the world, it's generally regarded with a level 6 severity. This perception can vary, of course, based on the specific job role 😊

This is eye-opening. There is a whole clause talking about continuous improvement in the norm, which requires a lot of creativity and innovation. On the other hand, the excessive documentation and the need for standardisation might counter the improvement. What do you think?

You have a clear and soothing voice that comes across explaining a lot of nebulous ideas and concepts, and that's what they are. Why do I say that? Because at the end of the day all the explanations you have given are absolutely useless to me. Take a company; how and why it came together, and analyze every step that the company takes, with real world problems and real world solutions; everything clearly defined, as what the products are, what specific problems they faced, how they have actually have overcome the problems, Need to be shown true problems, that one can directly analyze in detail as a problem, and then analyze how the solution was reached, and what real world effects it had on the company. In other words; break down a company to the nuts and bolt of its entire journey towards achieving success. A real company, with real products, real problems, real solutions, and real results in the real marketplace. That is a palpable explanation, and true example of what the standard stand for and mean. Not pie in the sky King's New Suit of clothes scenario. Everyone has a different interpretation of what you have commented about, but at the end of the day, few if any are willing to admit that they don't fully understand what you have said, and how to adequately apply it. Motivational speakers are a dime a dozen. Either someone proves it, or people should just move on. Nothing personal; it's just business telling you I don't care for magical words. I want meat and potatoes. And I have yet to see any ISO 9001 Certification Guru, or any other standards do anything less than what a motivational speaker does, which in my opinion, it's just not effective. Examples of effective quality control standards that leave no room for misunderstanding; shamefully it comes down to movies. A Pursuit of Happiness shows the nuts and bolt of the journey to success glossed over. Chris Gardner's own book shows precisely what I am saying. The movie "Rocky" though fictitious, shows perfectly the road traveled and real sacrifices made by a fictitious character in a fictitious movie. That is what I am talking about. Examples that can be seen as really occurring in life. Again; nothing personal, but your explanations give me absolutely no value without real and true world examples. Even if they were fictitious. I say this because I believe you can do better. And I really like you, and your conversational style and voice. Sincerely Yours. Have a good day sir!

Very useful and understandable explained. I have a question and would be happy if I get the answer. Regarding the responsibilities of a Quality Engineer in preparing the PPAP documentations, which documents should be performed by a Quality Engineer? Specifically for the preparing of PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and Process capability, is this the Quality Engineer who is responsible for implementing these documents? I appreciate your early reply.
@qualityguru9047
@qualityguru9047 8 ай бұрын
Hello @justice4allpeople, that depends and there is no black and white answer as different organizations and their leaders might have different ideas and philosophies. In some organizations the quality department is taking a more active role and is leading the activities described by you. In other organizations, the quality department might only make sure that the documents are properly created and the process owners are responsible to create & provide the documentation. In the end it should be a team work. Who has the lead can be easily defined in a RACI (or RASIC) matrix. If not properly defined, people might push around the task and avoid responsibility. I can only assume that's why you are asking for guidance, nevertheless every organization needs to define this for themselves. So if it is not clearly defined, maybe you could prepare such a RACI matrix and sent it around allowing the responsible persons to comment and agree / disagree. Maybe 80% of the points can be agreed on directly. The other 20% of critical items can be discussed involving higher level decision makers (manager / director / whoever it is) to help defining the responsibility, then every department needs to prepare the resources and deliver accordingly. Please let me know if this is helpful for you & good luck

The tree is the issue. If there is no one around to hear or be willing to listen to the issues. How much of the forest need to go down before we pay attention to the issue. Is one tree acceptable or 1000, or 100,000 before we address why the first tree fell down.

Hello, of course you can apply and maybe you will be successful! If you want to prepare yourself for a career in quality management, what I would do is to get trained in the basic tools and standards (ISO9001 measurement system analysis, statistical process control, FMEA, problem-solving, Lean six sigma Green Bay or black belt, quality planning etc.) Then, I would practice and learn about leadership skills and effective communication. That all in all could give you a good preparation to become a QM. What do you think 🤔🤗
