Do I need to use the VDA Questionary? I am using one to audit new suppliers but is not including all the questions that are in the VDA Questionay.

the VDA provides structured and complete questionnaires, they are generally accepted in the auto industry and can be transferred to many industries. In ISO9001 or similar quality systems it doesn´t requiere any specific questionnaire, you can choose the tool you like and that is suitable to do the task best. Just make sure its aligned with your organisation you are auditing for as different companies often have their own standard templates.

Hello Mirinda (is this your 1st name?) Thank you for your comment. I don't know in which Industrie you are working, but you could look into VDA 6.3 process audit book for more details and specific audit questionaire and adequate evidences. This standard is for the automotive industry ,but could be probably used as a general guidance in any industry. Maybe this is helpful

Hello Nelly, If I understand you correctly then you ask what can happen if I arrive at the wrong conclusion. In this case you could either over or under evaluate the potential. In case I overevaluate then I will have a risk for my business because the supplier is not as good as assumed and that might cause problems. If I underevaluate then maybe I might lose a business opportunity even though the supplier might be on the right level already.
